I am in some degree (large degree perhaps...degree unknown?) of trouble because I gave a gift certificate to a local small business to a new GF and the business owner had to open her big :fuckyou: fat :fuckyou: dumbfuck :fuckyou: mouth about doing a gift certificate for my ex-GF last year around this time.

I honestly never considered that it would come up or be an issue if it did. :rolleyes:

I hate this season so so so much. From years of mayhem working at ski areas over the holidays to struggling to pay for the implied obligations of being a part of a family or involved in friendships every damned year, to a loved one's suicide this time of year...christmas is always just a shitshow and it seems like nothing good comes of it. It's just a rich man's holiday.

I didn't think all that loot was a comin, so i went budget on the giving. but shit got hot back befor there gift giving started. my aunt gene and unc john sidelined my business venture from a distribution connect that inevitably put the kibosh on the whole thing. worst of it is not even the comptroller knew what was up. after the distib bailed i tuck tailed and went to the loans to cover losses. I was pissed to say the least, i knew it was a vindictive thing, but still. so when it came santa time i said fuck it go buget and wait for a new year. they felt the oppsite (guilty) for dragging my gramps into it so it seems they felt compelled to make it up to me. the heli trip was a little over the top, but fuck ya it s a AK heli trip.

I'm with others that dislike the holidays. I'm a real pain in the ass to buy gifts for, so I don't get much. Similarly, I'm horrible at thinking of gifts to give, so it usually works out, but its still a bit stressful. Thankfully a good gift idea for my girlfriend sort of fell into my lap this year.

dad - various used golf balls, my old cribbage board i won in a tournament in aspen in 1993, a print of my dad in 1991 getting first tracks on Walsh's.
mom - a new timing belt/water pump/tensioner etc etc for my civic, memory foam mattress pad, xmas dinner @ brown palace, boxers and shirts from old navy, and a gift certificate to old navy. i hinted home depot for her for next year ;) but i suppose paying for my humongous car repair gets her off the hook.
gf - dunno yet, feels like clothing of some sort, but my one allowed guess was for underarmor and apparently that was incorrect (waiting for gf to return to town so we can do presents).
doctor - 800mg ibuprofen, muscle relaxers, and the news that i will miss my second consecutive season as i need an MRI and possible surgery for what is most likely a herniated disc in my back. :cussing::cussing::cussing:

oh well.....the six days i got this season were six more than i got last season. at least the last one wasn't on WROD.
