There is a build on the 'nets that has a piggyback...but the reserve was shortened/modified so that it wouldn't hit the downtube on full compression. I couldn't find it just now, but I'll keep looking.Quote:

Huh, that's interesting. I hadn't really considered reservoir / downtube clearance, but I was also mostly thinking dpx2, which has a much shorter reservoir. I've seen some spur / dpx2 pics, so it seems like it fits.Quote:

Haven't found it online yet, but wonder if it's possible to run a DPX2 on an SB115 instead of the DPS. 190x45 is available in the DPX2. Can't see why it wouldn't fit.
The Sid forks were having issues early on with bushings. I started noticing some play in my fork last fall. Had it sent back to SRAM, fork was gone over a month before hearing back they couldn't replicate the issue and sent it back. Issue was gone, my shop said they'll sometimes claim they couldn't replicate but fix whatever was wrong.Quote:

15 mile 2k foot shakeout ride on the new whip today. I actually was gonna attempt a 5k foot much longer ride to a summit, but came across a ton of avi debris tinker toys.
Ok so this thing is fucking sick. A 29# bike feels like fucking air compared to my 37# race hog. The only thing I really want to change is to add CC XC to both the front and the rear. Was running tire pressure a little high so on the loose it was way drifty.
The suspension is sick. The 34 is dope. I had just a touch too much air in it I think, but was still really pleased. They really have that DPS tuned correctly. It got warm, but not super hot. I didn't do any sustained 15 minute descending though. I was expecting the stock wheels to be crappy like my stock DT Swiss on my other yeti, but these seemed pretty damn good. I will still upgrade though.

I'm insanely stoked. I wish I had brought more food and water. I could have gone for a much longer ride. The climbing is easy and on flats it just cruises so nicely. The down was just stupid fun too. A couple times where I had to dial back because I forgot I wasn't on the big bike.
No joke this thing descends better than my old SC Blur LTC which was 150mm in the front and 130mm in the back. The 115 feels like much more travel than it actually has.
When Yeti comes out with the 120-125mm super bike I will buy that too. Cause I'm a nut.
One has to think that bike (125mm or so) has to be in the works. There are some really capable bikes coming out now with limited travel.Quote:

The 130 and the sb115 are very, very different bikes, IMO.

SB130 is a 29er just like the SB115 and the SB150. SB140 and SB165 are 27.5
Not 'just like', however, completely different geometry, linkages, shocks, and Switch Infinity...

SC Tallboy - I've had it out for 4 rides. PRs on every DH. The VPP lower link is so smooth. I have a Cascade Link and I'm undecided about swapping it in just because it already rides so well. The DPS performs way better than it should. In the back of my mind I'm still considering a 160/145, but we'll see.

All this Spur/SB115 talk is making me want one. I fucking love my 35# Patrol, but I have to admit that it's massively overkill for a lot of my riding.

My large is sitting right at 27lbs with inserts now that I've swapped on some wheels I had laying around. Waiting on a chainring to come in and I can swap over most of an XTR groupset which should shave another pound just between the cassette and cranks. I have to say, the Deore stuff impressed, just a bit porky on the 2 aforementioned parts.

For a budget option Costco is selling the Intense 951 online for $3,250 with an NX level build. Not sure how exactly the 951 differs from the rest of their line but presumably a bit heavier and low-ish end but decent susp. The main selling point is it's actually in stock, apparently.Quote:
