Thats a very good point, I had it at a Giants game once and it was extra nice. It was a brand new kiosk and the taps were super clean. I think all beer is subject to shipping and storage issues as well as dirty taps.Quote:

Crazy. I met the brewmaster (Jeremy) at Savor this year, and we talked for 20 minutes or so. Really good dude, and really humble, especially considering the cult status some of his beers (KBS) have achieved. I wish I'd known I could've played 6 degrees of TGR...Quote:

For that matter the brewmaster at the Bristol in Colorado Springs is an old very good friend of mine if anybody needs some Iowa street credentials...he introduced me to my first west coast style IPA probably 1`4 years ago when he brought me a growler from the Bristol. I called it a marijuana beer at the time and I was hooked shortly thereafter. Unfortunately I haven't seen or heard from him in years except by stalking him on the Bristol FB page. Good guy. Looks like the brewery has really taken off.

Pretty sure this has brought up, but check out Stone Ruination IPA,it rules. I love that in Jackson, Thai Me Up restaurant/Melvin Brewing they are doing variations of the GABF gold medal winning 2x4 Double IPA (& other beer festivals as well) with the Deebo Black IPA & the Ginger Beer the Red IPA. Both hover at 10% & have around 100 IBUs. In my opinion every beer from Melvin rules, way better than the overrated Pako's IPA from Snake River Brewing in Jackson. I like hoppy beers that get you loaded, not bloated.

Had a few great IPA's last night at GABF. Fresh Hopped Pallet Jack from Barley Browns was probably my favorite, along with regular pallet jack. Also Green Flash's Triple IPA was pretty nice.
Generally I am not a huge I PA fan, so have not been following this thread, bur I am sitting in a brew pub in Ventura, CA drinking a The Great Divide ' s Hercules DIPA, and my lips are numb. It is dam good.
The latest Stone Enjoy By (10.31.14) is really really good.

Went to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival yesterday and had one of these after a couple of Mimosas. Girlfriend will attest to its mind-bending prowess.
Great nose, that combo of Citra Amarillo and Mosaic gives it a pungent aromatic of sweet pine and crystallized flowers (if you've ever had Asian crystallized Chrysanthemum you'll know what I mean). 122 IBUs, 11% alcohol, 100% fun.

it's way easier to get than the HT and i like the look, smell and taste better than HT.
Heady taste like grapefruit, the Fiddle taste like apricots, so good!

Just cracked one canned and bought at the brewery 2 weeks ago and couldn't agree more (although I get more pineapple than apricot), glad to see it is making it further south. 2nd fiddle is even better but the hop blend is not as readily accessible and thus the limited availability and canning.Quote:

I happen to be drinking one as I type this, although I prefer their Prickly Pear. Prickly Pear is the best beer in Montana. Thank God they started canning it finally. (I'm partial to pale ales.)
I like a lot of the Montana micros, although I do think Washington and Oregon dominate. Blackfoot IPA is good, but the shit knocks me out and screws up my evening so I don't drink it much. I really like Tamarack in Missoula. As far as the East Coast goes--and I visit there every year--they got a lot of catching up to do.

Just back from Bend, no shortage of good brews there, too many to name. Between the cheap weed and brews I dont know how anything gets done around there. God, its a great time to be a beer drinker!
Crux Fermintation Project is brewing some awesome IPAs in Bend right now. Outcast is one of my favorites.
