Almost like they are trying to produce the conditions that created such a huge box office result for Infinity War/Endgame. Throw all of the heroes into a blender and hope the result sticks the landing.

Lizzo should be in every star wars.

Yeah, wow. She and Jack Black are painful on screen. If I never see or hear from Jack Black again, that would be awesome.
reminded me of how terrible sam jackson was.
Woah. It's even better with Jack Black.

just casually holding onto the slicey part of the blade....
I mean he went to the school of Rock. Their force skills go to 11.
I have no idea how the 0.001% live, but I imagine the direction was along the lines of, 'Just pretend it's another weekend at Jack's place plaing croquet. But it's space croquet and there's no mimosas.' The story needed some aristroticatic douchbags on a world that is the space 1%, you got Lizzo and Jack Black. Check the boxes and give the casting director a pat on the back. Hell, they probably got Lizzo and Jack for free and saved Disney a few bucks.
Some of y'all need to remember Star Wars isn't a hardcore space drama 100% of the time. Andor and Rogue One were great, but without the rest it would be depressing as shit and everyone would tune out. There's a lot of other shows that tried the 'all hardcore drama, depression, and destruction, all the time' path, and they didn't stick around for 45 years. The Last of Us was great, but 8 episodes of that was enough for the next three to five years.
Sooo what you're saying is that you don't like the expanse?
And what you're also saying that the meddling Studio execs driving mandalorian into the ground with the book of boba grogu and the meandering nonsense that is season 3 are giving us "the fun and true Star wars" while the people actually making a great Show like Andor are pushing the Fans away?
I don't think I can agree with that.
DJSapp is indeed a sap, wow.
DJSapp is Darth JarJar, chaos agent.
It was the classic TV show murder mystery with one of the biggest guest stars being the bad guy. I wonder if there’s any recordings of Lizzo and Jack Black jamming backstage.
My kids, 9 and 13, and my neighbors kids 14 and 16, all walked out on Andor by episode 3. None of them came back after us parents watched it and told them how amazing it was, and that it was the best Star Wars to date. My 9 year old walked out on Bad Batch season 2 because it isn't fun anymore like the first season, even with that insufferable Omega. But all four of them were pretty stoked to see people that are relevant to them in a show even though the role was disposable. They lit up and laughed when Grogu force jumped into Lizzo's arms for some space croquet playtime. Fun, irrevent, popcorn shows matter is my point. I totally agree that they aren't usually very compelling that aren't going to win awards for writing, acting or directing, but sometimes you just need something lighter.
Your type of being a fan is no less correct than another's. You can like Andor, but not everything has to be Andor, ok? I'm arguing that Andor is even better because there's other stuff isn't Andor. Variety helps. It's why I couldn't start the second season of the expanse knowing there's five more full seasons to go through. Maybe I'll give it another run. Maybe not.
Please do keep in mind Andor's story drifted and wandered for the first 4 episodes with sweet fuck all happening until the heist actually began. That's more airtime than any given movie just to get Cassian's motive established and connect him with a rebel cell. That's the reason why D+ dropped the first 3 episodes all at once; they knew we'd all binge it. If episodes 1-4 would have come out weekly, people would have trashed it and bailed.
Chaos Agent? Sure, I'll own that. But you're the one who is questioning who will watch Ashoka. Tell me that you didn't watch Clone Wars without saying you didn't watch Clone Wars. It's no surprise you're struggling with the Mandalorian. The entire background that the Mandalorian story is based on is seeded back there. Ashoka is probably the biggest and best character in the whole SW universe. She has seen some shit and I really want to know where her story goes.
I don't want everything to be andor. I just liked the mandalorian as it was. Some hyperstylized Western whatever bounty hunter father son fun in the Star wars universe.
Films and series can be fun and still be good. Hell... I eben liked the kids content like Rebels. My message is that when the really creative and talented people ( im not sure whether filoni and favreau are in that boat completely...), like Gilroy, are left alone with Star wars they can create brilliant stuff. It doesn't have to be dark.
When Book of Bobba came along, it was obviously of lower quality than Mando S1 & S2. Ok, fine. We enjoyed it for what it was. S3 was coming. We could look forward to that. And Kenobi was a similar letdown. Ok, we understand. That was a tough assignment. They got a C at least. Then Andor was great. A++. So Star Wars live TV had succeeded 3/5 times and the bad ones weren't all that terrible. I don’t want to complain too much. I mean when Battlestar Galactica came back and they were riding around California on flying motorcycles and going back in time to fight Nazis, was I disappointed? Yes, but I watched it loyally cause it used to be good which meant it might be good again. I’m sorry to say that’s where I am now with Mando. I’m in. I can still appreciate the good parts. Bringing back the Ugnaughts (sic?) was pretty cool. And the whole we’re- lazy-now- cause- droids is actually good high concept sci fi. But let’s be honest. It ought to be better. It could be better. I have spoken.
Hekka Mecha Grogu
Bet y’all pictured the Mandalorian with the big attached gun as Jesse Ventura.
that was a more enjoyable episode, i meant to check who directed it.
Yes yes yes yes yes
Grogu needs a kill or 20 in the final episode during the rescue. Back to these good old days
