Love how Trey takes that for a ride. Blowing through all of Bobby’s stop signs. I wish had been sitting right there.
Trey shows were the shows.
I really miss Jerry.
Dead Co is what it is. They're old dudes and the originals will only be around so long.
I've seen DeadnCo five times now, had a great time at all of them. And I can't listen to an entire show
Mayer > Trey with this band. His style works better.
checking what I missed last night in Camden. Show was cut short for bad weather, 3 songs into the 2nd set, weird https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hktqLTmHuCo
truth.
I remember reading an interview with Oteil about the formation of Dead n Co. Bob told him to listen to shows from the early 90's as that's where the songs were heading, kinda makes sense.
Most nights I'll take the 70's ish punch of DSO, or the exploration of Phil's bands but I do like the diesel of Bill & Mickey. If someone would just get Mickey some drum sticks and take the mittens off his hands...
blues to get soaking wet by

This shit's just getting damn unprofessional at this point.

I don't have time to watch...can you elaborate?
Just watched that. Didn’t think is was too bad. Just different tastes I guess. Not great energy either. I’ve found that I feel so far removed from the Grateful Dead sound and experience that I can now appreciate a different band playing these tunes. Not looking for or comparing it to what once was.
I get it tho...everything is slow, more methodical, scripted to a point. Drummers are just there playing. Oteil, JM and JC want to explore and reach higher points and Weir...well he just wants everything to be exactly perfect and slow. Dude ain’t a spring chicken. Understandably, he probably can’t roll like he used to. It what is is. I’m good with a couple nights of couch tour and a couple shed shows personally. Still fun for me. Although, I can say that I am done with the stadium shows. Doesn’t do it for me.
Anyone else going to be at the Alpine shows?
Fenway Park on Monday, July 30, as we celebrate one of the most popular bands. With the purchase of a ticket through this special offer, you will receive a Grateful Dead Red Sox t-shirt.
Plus, you won't want to miss the special pregame concert by tribute band Bearly Dead on Jersey Street! A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Rex Foundation.

Ah man, I feel bad for him watching that. Bummer. Probably pollen...or...he's 70yrs old! I still would go see these guys just because, again, it is the original 3. It's great for kids who never saw Jerry to at least see these guys. I actually have (had - I think) tics to Hartford and cannot go now.
Just five guys making it happen
