Not sure where the idea that flour tortillas arent authentic comes from. Every norteno I’ve ever known prefers them and they are sold at every taco stand in half the country.

Yep, and it is a continuum. Is it less Mexican it in traditional in the Hispanic culture of South Texan or California? Go to the job site or the resturant and see what the Mexicans eat. And if you have a local Mexi Mart, get your tortillas there.
You guys are hilarious. The correct answer can also be flour AND corn. Try out tortillas mezcladas and prepare to have your mind blown. "This is the way" in some regions in Mexico and it does indeed kick ass.

Is quesabirrias even tacos?
Is Al Pastor Mexican?
How do you know someone shops at HEB without them telling you they shop at HEB?
Agreed. If you want to be hipster authentic with tacos, you cant have flour, beef, pork, goat, chicken, cinlantro, onions, etc because the Spanish introduced all that to Mexico recently like 500 years ago. Its like thinking that any tomato sauce from Italy is not authentic because tomatoes came from Mexico so marinara, bolognese, etc. cant be true Italy dishes then. Flour tortillas are popular in parts of northern Mexico where corn doesnt easily grow is what I read. The people who are used to corn tortillas down south prefer it because they grew up with it and sure, probably shit on flour tortillas as not the real deal. And Americans prefer flour because we grew up with it and a well done griddled corn tortilla is rare up here. Also when they are served cold they taste horrible and we think that's normal.
It has nothing to do with authenticity. It has to do with corn tortillas add another taste to a simple taco. Flour is just there to hold the meat. And for poor people who can't afford meat, corn plus beans provides all the essential amino acids--complete protein. Flour plus beans doesn't/
I think the tortilla debate boils down to proper preparation. I have probably never had one that was properly done for tacos. Therefore my experience is of a mushy, gross mass that leaks and falls apart.
What makes you think you have the right to expect a decent taco in Maine?
Is there anybody left in America who can make a decent Taco hasnt Trump locked them all down ?

Im amused by the muted new car colors. They bring to my mind yellow baby poo grey seagull poo and then green baby poo again.
When I was shopping for my current truck I went through Costco to get a quote. A local dealer called me within 5 mins. I had already test driven and knew what I wanted so as long as price was good. Price was good and they had the model I wanted. So I asked about color. They had cement gray and the normal metallic gray. I told her I wasn't interested in the desert tan or cement gray because I thought they'd look like ass in 10 years. She said, I drive the desert tan and actually sounded a little offended. I'm sure it looks great with you in it, but I'll take the metallic gray, thanks. Haha. I'm sure working at the dealer she gets a new truck every couple years anyways.
