Chipping practice at the tin Cup Country Store & Golf Club. Worked on sand wedge to elevated pin. Short night. I only hit about 30 before sinking one and walking off. Bad news maybe. The course is being sold to the town for a park. Most of it anyway. Holes 4,5 in 6 belong to the local church. Conditioning might take a hit until the closing.

I practiced for 2 straight hours on Sunday while my son played in his Jr league. I've never practiced more than an hour in the 30 yrs I've golfed
I hit balls for about 20 min and chipped the rest of the time
I worked a lot on short side stuff...pin just few paces on. Hit a lot of shots from bad/buried lies and some from tight lies. Mostly bad/buried to get more confident with chopping it out short sided. Probably the toughest chip shot other than anything on downhill lie in rough.
Then I hit from tight lie to pin way back, with a lot of green to work with...about 50 ft of green from 5 yds off. I used 51, 55, and 60 hitting lots of shots with each. I must have spent 45 min just working on that.
I also practiced my new favorite shot, the hybrid Texas wedge. Basically putting with a hybrid (5w works well too) from about a foot off the green. I had to play the shot on Tue and hit it to 6".
My chipping is always pretty solid, but practicing like that for that long really builds my confidence...which is everything in chipping for me. If I'm comfortable, and lie isn't fucked, I can get her in there tight for an up and down.
Heading down to Charlotte, NC for a college football game on Saturday.
NASCAR at Darlington Raceway on Sunday.
Myrtle Beach for golf and sun Monday-Thursday.
By Friday, my redneck transformation will be completed.

nice i play 9 tomorrow morning.
Played TPC Myrtle Beach and rode golfboard.
Course was great but 1:20 tee time in southern heat and humidity was brutal.
Golfboard was fun and I got the hang of it right away since I’m a boarder.
But not be able to sit down and no cover wore us off.
I didn’t play well and lost some money today.
But there is tomorrow to come back!

Most golf matches are won or lost on the first tee. Negotiate 6 more per side. Play a match play format. Collect winnings.
Looks like a good time. Those cart thingies look cool, but like you said no shade which would suck in that heat, and would really suck not being able to sit if you had to wait for group in front. Crocs down there are not that unusual, but still neat to see.
nice, nmc!
i've been playing 9 more often due to time constraints. lots of 45s and 46s. and a 43. a 93 and a 94. and a +5 on 9 at the par 3.
i feel close to 90 i just haven't put it all together.
Played Wachesaw Plantation Club today.
It is private but boyfriend’s high school friend works at the course so we got to play.
Front 9 wasn’t very impressive but back 9 was completely different scene.
Another great day down in the south.

^Dude better have some serious game, if he's going to attire himself like that.
Was able to take advantage of some afternoon golf last week. Played Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and again Sunday. Shot all of them in the 80's (low round was 83). Got out at NorthStar for the first time. Highlight of the day was ripping my second shot on a par 5 - 240 yrds that left a nice 12 foot Eagle Putt. Missed the Putt though. Went back to Wachesaw Plantation Club again and played with couple club pros.
It was mostly social rounding but got some nice tips here and there.
Going home tomorrow with serious golf tan.

Collecting some past due favors this fall.
Got a 4some scheduled on the Reserve at Moonlight Basin (Jack N Course) http://www.nicklaus.com/design/moonlightbasin/ that I helped build.
Now working on a triple crown,
Black Bull in west Bozeman a Tom Weiskopf design, https://www.blackbullbozeman.com/the-course and
The Course at Spanish Peaks a really cool Weiskopf course. http://www.weiskopfdesigns.com/portf...s-big-sky.html
All 3 are serious $$$ and usually empty as hell.
Sometimes it is good to still be a dirtbag. I am a terrible golfer who makes up for my lack of skill with enthusiasm and calling in favors.
Tye??? You going to be up this way in September??? I am still in the midst of a 10 year long remodel but I have a spare bedroom that is livable.
First Time at Tahoe Donner - Tight Fairways (Got Some Wood On It), Fast Undulating Greens (Stay Beneath The Hole), Elevation Changes. Score Card took it on the chin. I will be back again.

just when i thought i was turning the corner it's like i never picked up a club. brutal.
golf is a 4 letter word.
I seem to either be losing my driver or chipping...if both work at the same time I feel like I can score.
I shot over 100 every single day down in the south.
It was embarrassing.
