Always a good day when the driveway needs a shovel :)
snowing pretty good out there
Threw together a little weather video this morning. http://www.coloradopowderforecast.co...sday-10262011/
Overall, storm came in pretty strong everywhere. Good dynamics throughout made up for unimpressive orographics for many western mountains. Good stuff!
Forget the shovel, even better when it's worthy of the snow blower :)
I'd say 8-10" wet heavy stuff on the ground at ~8200' still snowing lightly
yeah about 8" at the house of super heavy snow....lovin it
October sickness at LL....so jealous

Anyone go? Is the snow heavy up there?
This wet snow should be a great base. Hoping that the storm track picks up as advertised into next week.
Definitely a foot at the luv today. Chopped up fast but was nice to get the legs burning. Hope it keeps coming and doesn't all blow away.
early laps were great!!!! easy a foot at opening and 'troller said he measured 16" at 10am.
They are now saying 21" as of 1PM...
Screw you all, but thank you for packing down a great base layer for me.
Did some scouting today. Heading out early tomorrow to see how good things are.

Deep at Berthoud. This should settle into a real nice base for the next storm.

It never cleared out in the valley last night so instead of 8 degrees, it was 24 this morning. Lets hope we can get another storm relatively quick and keep this train rolling.
2 degrees on Indy Pass this morning.
That was literally the perfect storm. Tons of moisture. Jet stream overhead. Slow moving. Plenty of dynamics. Decent orographics for most areas (east wind east of the divide, west or west-southwest west of the divide, southwest at Wolf). Hope we see that again! Still amazing to see Abasin get 12 and Loveland get 20.
Another Tue/Wed storm next week is very possible....and perhaps similar to this week's storm.
Possibly after the weekend or when/if a storm rolls in mid-week.
Montezuma Basin skied very well today. Me and one other guy had the place to ourselves.

24in in RMNP yesterday and cold as shit. Not wet like most people have been saying, 1-2in of slush gave way to light and dry on top.
