Like super bowl breaking to the ground after being open for a month?

So there I was, taking pictures of the closed gate for a smug post later, when patrol comes along and opens it. If I weren’t so slow, I’d have been 3rd down. It was definitely worth the walk. Dealer’s Choice/Forest Meadow was untracked and all-time.
Fun day.

#6 Headwall seems way too extreme, I hope they open up #7 Headwall someday
Based on the standards from another thread, that must be at least 87 degrees. Gnar!
I love hiking for turns but I’m up for a new lift either from the top of 4 to Marmot or the top of Ptarmigan to Wild Child if it would help get those open for more than a month per season. Yeah, I said it.
It’s fucking ridiculous these aren’t open yet:

Looks like its going to be a powder day at Echo Mountain with this big storm.....
May need to check out those big back bowls.;)

That picture of wild child makes me want to cry.
Or poach.
I know, it’s fucking ridiculous. As I said above, as much as I like hiking for turns, at this point I’d almost rather they build another lift up to WC or Marmot and be able to theoretically ski the better terrain longer instead of having it sit until March to open (or not at all).
Did you hear about the Trelese accident? Patrol would probably have them arrested for trespass at the least if they caught them, plus that persistent slab is still lurking because no bootlick. Now they have to carpet-bomb it to be safe, which at last check they weren’t doing.
Unrelated; The walk is what limits traffic on the best parts of the Ridge, which IMO is what you ski the Ridge for. Unfortunately I don’t think it’s in the cards this year, or at least not for long or wide.

The ridge is what makes Loveland worth skiing. Chair 1 is good stuff, but come on, the ridge is what makes that place. So weird that they won't do their damnedest to open their marquee feature.
Honestly, as a bystander from what I've seen this season (and not seen, control wise) I wouldn't doubt it. It seems on another level different this year, has to be 100% covid related?
Either way. For whatever reason I dont think they give a shit about anything above 4, 8, and Ptarmigan this year. After the current 6'+ crown on Patrol and the fact that Super Bowl, etc is primed. Not to mention the storm this week, they are too far behind the 8ball to care. Damn shame.
I've heard from a couple people now that the president of Upham Oil started getting involved with Loveland's business last season and was telling department heads to de-emphasize anything not related to beginner or intermediate skiers (in particular the ridge). Not sure if true, but it makes sense based on what I'm reading in this thread.
I don’t think they’re trying to de-emphasize anything past this being a shit snow year, with some pretty unorthodox storm tracking and behavior.
As much as I enjoy bandying around the bootlicking/carpet-bombing (munching) comments, this year it’s more observational than critical. It just hasn’t been a great year for the Ridge, and I still think anything that hasn’t ripped to dirt up there is suspect af.
1/2 full lot at 9:30 on a Saturday yesterday. It didn’t really get good until around 1, but damn Daniel, it felt like Loveland of old for a minute there.
Covering console till noon today, then digging out, then we’ll see if it makes sense to rush for 2-4, or just go for 1st chair tomorrow. CDOT might make the decision for me. Looks like Georgetown got about a foot more than LL.

Super weird to not have 8 or 3 run. Lift Ops staffing issue maybe?
They announced yesterday that there would be very limited employee shuttle service today
