The new ladies siren 104 is pretty slick. Essentially, it's a Countach 104 with a different core and slightly shorter lengths available top sheet is pretty cool and the new base is really neat. https://www.momentskis.com/collectio...ucts/siren-104

Great day for the meridians yesterday at Lake Louise. Great snow from last Sunday/Monday held up great, got blown around in some high wind Thursday filling in the tracks for some great hero snow Friday morning in perfect bluebird light. Perfect ski for ripping fast through the alphabet gullies then slashing to shed enough speed to not hit sharks through the chokes. After the chokes it was so fun to lay them over for some fast GS turns, perfect stiffness for the awesome snow which transitioned to heavier spring chop throughout the day. Lack of suspension from no camber was only apparent on drops with a hard landing. Carving them on soft groomers was a blast, pretty simple transition from my cambered skis. Very sold on them as a ski that suits Louise conditions where true ice is a rarity in the back bowls.

Finally clicked with the meridians! It took getting them a base grind, setting a 2 deg base bevel, 1 on the sides and some fun soft spring like conditions up at Baker to finally click with them and holy shit they are exactly what I was hoping they would be! Absolutely no speed limit yet I was able to confidently put them sideways at any speed and shut it down when needed. They were leaving trenches and still able to pivot and smear all over. They felt well balanced on side hits and intuitive when skiing switch. So happy they ended up working out and now I have no intention of letting them go!
Had a couple days on the DW112 with a remount at -1.5cm from suggested or -6.5cm from true center. Loving it a lot more. Some insight for bigger guys or for those who don't jive with a more "center" mount. Able to push the ski to a much higher speed limit now.
Does not surprise me at all. The 104 works great -1 from where the DW lives. As a smaller guy I have never had my DW dive, but I could see a benefit to -1 for a lot of people. Had a epic 6 inch day on the 104 today. It is such a dialed ski.Quote:

I think they strike a nice balance between the Commander and Deathwish. I was looking for a ski that could charge a bit harder than the DW and it is looking exactly like what it is. A nice big landing platform. I am excited to get them out on a day better suited for them.

Whelp I am now sold on the DW one twelve . Powder laps in Catherine’s last week did it. They float, charge, spin, handle drops and carve like mfers. They’ll do whatever I want them to. Im deciding Im only skiing this type of ski from now on - DW, woodsman, optics. All a bit different but all the same style.
So anyway, looks like a need to pick up some Deathwish oneohfours in oneeightyfour or one ninety (my twelves are nineties but I’m torn).
So if anybody has a pair to part with lemme know.
I've been a super lover of triple camber and my dw especially my 104 is a cold dead hands ski but the Countach 110 blew me away. Absolutely loved it so much. To the point I want to add a 104 to the mix even knowing it will have a lot of overlap with my dw 104 based off moments opinions. The CT line is just fantastic overall.Quote:

I have had 4 pair of DW 112, continue to love that ski, last pair was so beat up Level9 in SLC refused to sell them on consisgment. Demoed the 104 last Wednesday, wow!, loved it. For the last four years Meridians have been my groomer ski. When I bought them Moment did not offer the DW or Wildcat in narrower widths and I did not like the Commander. Interesting. I need to put some more days on the 110. I have a hard time seeing it dethrone my DW, but it is possible, I suppose. I really love the light, slashy, poppy, floatiness of the DW. I've never found another ski that noodles, but has as much ass when you need it. Even the DW 104 has a pretty amazing amount of floating for a smaller ski.Quote:

Yeah, the CT 110 is a great ski. I have the 194 and for me that ski is great is wide open spaces. It gets a little cumbersome in tighter spaces, absolutely a no go in bumps for me but it rips boot deep powder, wind blown bowls etc... I struggled initially on it in new snow but once I figured out it doesn't really like neutral stance it was good to go. Its really smooth on groomers, so much fun making big turns. I'm still reaching for the WC in anything 6+ but the CT has a home in my quiver. I am curious what the 188 would be like, but probably not curious enough to have the same ski in two lengths. Im 6-4 but maybe should gotten the 188 initially because the effective edge is long enough. Im still working on liking the DW104. Ive skied it plenty in MN but out west it wasnt quite the same. Longer runs, longer days, I was getting vibration in my feet. Two different experiences skiing it. Im not getting rid of it but at the same time Im thinking the CT104 may be better for me. I have the DW104 setup with Cast for some fitness laps in MN and Im not sure if that contributes to the feedback Im getting.
Have you been on the Masterblaster? Two full sheets of metal, really fun ski. I skied it for a year and realized I need a longer length and am waiting for a topsheet I likeQuote:

Starting to sound like the triple camber DW (and DW 104) has more of a sweet spot for mounting than Moment seems to think? I know the recommended is always a good start and probably why they advise aginst it, but it seems like there are people mounting 1 or 2 in front or in back of recommended and really loving it in both directions depending on their use case.
I went .5cm back on my DWT 112 and I wish I had gone a full cm back.
The green topsheet 190 Bibby Pro from 2010 or so ... I had those mounted at -7cm where I believe suggested was -5. Loved it WAY more at -7.
Same thing with the 194 Ghost Train. Totally different ski with a -2cm remount.
I'm the same size/ski style was Speedfreak so it's nice to hear I'm not alone.
When it comes to "flat" tail skis like the Garbones, M1, Jaguar Shark, Ruby from back in the day ... the suggested of -10cm (which I'm pretty sure that was for all of them) on those always seemed to be just perfect. Never was a need to mess with remounting.
And the Belafonte too in that "flat" tail ski category.
Holy trip down memory lane with some of these models.
I get along well with Enforcers and Kastle MXes, and am looking for alternatives that release in the tail a bit more readily to make it easier to pilot through deep bumps and technical terrain. But I still want some burliness--more backbone than a skinny Wildcat or Deathwish.
I though the Commander 92 would fit the bill for my low-90's ski, so I picked up the Commander 92 in a 188. I just can't figure that ski out. It feels like it wants to be laid over and charged hard, but when I attempt to ski it like that, it chatters pretty badly. Something about the flex, shape, and length just doesn't agree with me... I just don't get it. I'm 6', ~180 pounds, and usually have no problems with longer skis. I feel more in control on a 193 FIS GS ski than on the C92 at 188cm. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Would the 182 behave better?
And for the ~100mm slot, I'm thinking about either a Commander 102 or Countach 104. Thoughts?
I did not gel with the C102. I think it has too much sidecut for how stiff it is. It wants to be turning and draws itself into a turn, but it is just too stiff for my preference. I do not have a lot of flat tail metal skis to compare it to, but the Enforcer just feels more versatile for me.
The Countach has a tendency to draw itself into a turn more than the Deathwish, but not like the Commander. I need more days on it, but the Countach has much better versatility and still a pretty high speed limit for me.
I will add that the Commander is the better chop destroyer. The build is perfect for that. The Countach is still pretty stiff, but lighter. It feels very lively as a result and rewards a more light on your feet style. Again, I need more days on the CT.
I cannot be as lazy on either the Commander or Countach as the Deathwish.No surprise there. I find the Deathwish dead easy to ski. It is still my cold dead hands ski. It would be more difficult if you made me decide between the 104 and 112. I really like the 104 on a ton of days, but the 112 is surfy fun and crazy versatile.
Josh, another add: the new Enforcer 94 and 100 should have the same Enforcer build but with more damping (rubber) and tails that are easier to release (longer, higher tail rocker). I think I am going to try the 100 next year.
The other ski that comes to mind is the 4FRNT MSP.
Dont get me wrong, I am on Moments 99% of the days, but I dont totally gel with the Commander as my shitfuck low tide ski and the others arent quite damp enough for chattery and variable days.
Got a little description of the siren vs Countach 104 from max.
"The Siren and the Countach are incredibly similar, with the only difference being the poplar / pine vs the poplar / beech. The change in wood also attributes to the lighter weight in the Siren.
Generally, the Countach will be a bit more damp, powerful, and composed while the Siren will be a bit more energetic, lively, and ever so slightly softer.
These differences are overall very minor in the grand schemed of ski design."
Thanks for the info RE the upcoming Enforcers, @SnowMachine. I'll keep an eye on those...It sounds like your experience with the C102 is similar to my experience with the C92. I think my issue is the flex profile--I either need burlier shovels or softer in the middle of the ski.Anyone interested in an almost new pair of C92's 188cm? :) I'll post in the gear swap thread shortly.
I currently have the new 2025 Enforcer 99 and have been on the C92 and C102. Albeit I was only on those the C92 and C102 for a few runs, I didnt jive with them like I did with the E99. Nordica did something right with the changes they made to Enforcer 99 and 104 (increased tail splay, rubber dampening, and especially the more forward mount).
