Didn’t end up doing anything. Undecided if the liner would be enough or if I should just do alpine boots. I would need the alpine wrap if I was going to go that route tho. Glws

Who's using the current style tour wrap liners? How much do you think they restrict the rearward range of motion compared to tour tongue liners? The tour cutout is huge now so guessing that helps quite a bit, but probably still limit ROM a little more??
I am using MV tour wraps in my Ridge pros
Wild guess 10-20% reduction
Tried the stock tongue liner for 3-4 outings but had too much wiggle room around ankle

Going to put in 28.5 Lange rs 130
Size up to 29 or stay at 28?
Currently using old style 29 luxury liner, MV, but I hate when the tongue gets stuck in the instep overlap plastic when I remove my foot, and I would also like to take up a little more volume. I could just go to the DH HD 15 mm tongue liner, but thought the wrap would alleviate instep pressure and tounge getting stuck.
Intuition used to tell you to size upper down on their older style liners, but there is nothing on their website about how to size the new liners.
Maybe call them or write a message?
The wrap
Should take up
Sufficient room
At same size as shell
What is your shell fit like?

A hair less than a sharpie
I think you are right, I don’t think I can fit a size up in there, especially if I’m getting the 15mm hv version already.
I think Intuition advice is to size up. I just ordered a 27 Downhill Wrap for my 26.5 boot.
Your sizing is a little different than mine, but I tried a full size bigger tour wrap in my 29.5 Cochise and it did not work (I did not heat mold). My toes were crunched, so I went with the 29.5 and it was much better. This is not advice per se, just my experience.
Heat molding is critical, I think, especially if you are trying to take up volume

Yeah, taking up space was my initial intention, but it turned out I didnt have. My shell is 29.5 and I have what I would call skinny legs and a high calf. I have Gara HV Zips for resort and the Intuition for touring. I bought 15mm in 29.5 and 30.5. I opened the 30.5 and didnt open 29.5 because I was going to sell them after the return window if 30.5 worked. I didnt heat mold them because if 30.5 didnt work I would sell them and open the 29.5. Its convoluted but that was my approach. Once I axed the 30.5 I opened the 29.5 and they fit better, so now I have 30.5 that were never heat molded sitting in my closet.
Personaly I would not try to take up space with an intuition liner and yes the thickness of a sharpie is the 15mm I would go with on shell fit
one used to be able to call the Intuition factory outlet in Vangroovy but i havent been there in years becuz the 13 yr old liners are still good in my touring boots
in fact I had to do a quick visit on the way home from Hokkaido becuz the shell of a Vulcan was just a C hair smaller than the mercury it was originaly molded for to the point it was uncomfortable so i stopped at Intuition and paid the 50$ becuz the Intuition folks are that good IME
becuz the Intuition folks are that good The folks at Intuition are good indeed. They it like when your feet are happy.
Intuition repair question. The seam on the inside flap of my ProWrap came undone. Any tips on the best way and materials to fix this with for someone who failed Home Ec and has no idea how to really sew ?it looks like the original thread went through both sides of the fabric and the edge of the foamhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5c8d06225e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3304a27bf7.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2430c0347f.jpg

Smear it with 3M 5200 and let cure.
I’m looking for some new liners for my Dynafit Tigard (original is worse I ever seen). I have very good experience from Scarpa Intuition liners, have home cooked at least 6 pairs. Usually I use a nylon stocking, some padding around the toes and a really thin insole to get tightest possible fit.
Browsing forums it seems like many chose to buy a larger liner to get a tighter fit. Seems reasonable, i never got a fit that was too tight, the liner will compress down to almost nothing. The best fit I ever made was molding the liner in a slightly bigger shell, molding in Scarpa TX Pro, skiing in Scarpa Maestrale RX, that heel hold is super. But it won’t work on the Tigards, I do not have a shell that’s almost the same but bigger.
Is it a bad idea to also go for a HV liner? If I fill in the forms, Inundation says I should buy a Dual Density Tour Tounge MV 12 mm. In my size 28.5.
