Not to mention there's more terrain variation on Liberty Bowl than the entire ridge.
Uhm.. Mr. K anyone? Sickest line in Montana. Outside of the Natty Half that is.

where the hell do you think you are? Sorry but the Tetons are in fact the holy land, stomping grounds of the great, even saturadaze are empty, our snow is lighter than anything, how can you beat it? HOW!
Ha! Graduate high school, then talk. You live with your mommy, and brag about it. That's hilarious. Where am I? Skiing mountains that lack standard bullshit Jackson arrogance. We kill it and don't expect a medal. Go do your algebra homework and shut the fuck up.
-
Haha, I guess I should clarify that I may have utilized sarcasm in one of my earlier posts. We all know the sickest line in montana is Glen's Glade.
cliffhucker, we're going to need pics of said mom.
-
don't mean to dickwave, just expressing my satisfaction with where I am at, hopefully didn't piss too many of you off, its good to see that MT could possibly hold a candle to the Tetons??? based on many of your defensive remarks, this is good...
-
Yea we all give ya shit but Jhole is pretty sweet, especially the back country. But for a college town I dont know of many places (any places) that come close to btown. And as for sick lines that compare (maybe better than jackson) just check out this thread. Sure its hike to, but so is the best stuff in jackson.
OH and SEND PICS OF YOUR MOM, how many spare rooms, will I get a pass. And deals off if I dont get an allowance for weed and beer. Will i have to edge out your dad? Im lazy so it might be a deal breaker.

Dood, just stay there. Invest in real estate and slaughter that town worse than ever. You said it, you are in the 'holey land' what are you going to do with a degree from msu anyhoo?
BTW you have lived in jackson for 10 years or whatever and have never skied bridger??? or Montana?? You have to get out a little more.
Less time hangin' with mom.:nonono2:

When just talking about inbounds skiing, Bridger owns Jackson if you ask me. Jackson has vert, nice airs, and great snow. However the lift set-up sucks balls….dawg balls even. Especially when the tram is down. When comparing inbounds hike-to terrain, The Ridge owns by far. Not only in difficulty but also in quantity. The ridge holds a number of prominent lines that can be seen from the parking lot, but the beauty of the ridge is the number of crazy sneaks and off chutes that feed into those major lines. And most importantly we(Bridger Bums) for the most part leave our street gear at home..AKA cell phones.. You know your in Jackson when the locals have Bluetooth headsets built into their helmet….Fucking Joke…Leave that shit at Home!
Bottom Line: Bridger Owns in-bounds skiing

Uhh, yeah. I'm as much a Bridger fanatic anyone, but a short walk at the village will get you a lot more bang for your buck. Like 3,000 vert more in about the same amount of time that it takes to walk to D Route. And believe it or not, there are more than few line variations out there. It does ski shitty without the tram, but that bullshit is over now. We definitely have some sweet mountains around here, but there are lots of bigger, equally interesting, ranges to ski. I will say that the Bridger range is pretty much unequalled in radness for such a tiny range. But realistically, it's still tiny.
And yes, bringing your cell on the hill sucks balls.

Some funny last weekend shots!!
-
hell yea, I'm gonna be rocking my neon pink and teal fartbag tomorrow. gaper day, here I come
-
Its not terrain I'm worried about its snow, stats show that BB gets 350 average, still not bad, but Ghee gets 500, no doubt MT has terrain to keep all or anyone busy FOREVER but how about real pow days?
-
Bridger's real average according to bestsnow.net is about 280. The 350" number counts all the snow that falls in non skiing months. I talked to a long time patroller that said to me that this years 397 is their ski season record. Thats November thru april. Every year I've been here (since 02) has had month long dry spells and horrible crusts forming every month. This has been the only consistent year with winter conditions for dec. thru early april and no longer than weeklong dry spells. All that considered there has been some great skiing every year I have been here, even during the two pathetic seasons. If you ski back country much you can get plenty of "real pow days". Plan on sharing the hill with pretty much everyone in town that skis on every single day with more than 5 inches. Nose to butt on the ridge those days, no exceptions.
-
bridger's blessed and cursed for being so close town no doubt
wonder how we'll all spread out with the new lift next year?
is the immediate bc is goin- for some- from the dark and dank zebra to a lit up 317?
sidecountry cellies seem more normal than interweb chat for some?
dont know the answers just askin...
gotta get the midweek days,
gotta like the noses n butts yer hikin with...
Im a snowflake/quad lift regular most of my time for the next 5yrs nEway gettin the nextgen goin

Bridger may get crowded, but Big Sky is a straight-up ghost town until the last weekend in Feb, excepting the 9 days of Christmas-->New Years, and then MLK day weekend. Oh, and as far as in-bounds steeps, variety of terrain, high consequence lines, having it all to yourself, and all without any real trouble getting there is concerned, BS/MLB owns.
And as far as real pow days go, the 'Ghee is pretty cool and lacks Jackson's crowds, but I'll wait an extra day to ski that powder down 1800 feet, at 40 degrees, without stopping.. like eight times. That's called December and January here. I was in two feet of tram accessed pow two days ago.. Still skiing plenty of settled pow on the north side yesterday, too.. How was Jackson? ;) By the way, did you not bother to look at any of the pictures in this enormous thread before you wondered aloud if it snows? Also, while I'm here.. Jackson had a great year this year. No question. But, wasn't it their best year, like.. Ever? Usually Big Sky and Jackson are about equal as far as snowfall is concerned. The ninety-plus days of snowfall we had here, works for me.
You should check it out up here for yourself.. I have a feeling your opinion isn't going to change no matter what, but maybe you should actually ski here before you start talking shit. I should get down there more, myself.

damn, p-nut, that is some fine work. I guess whit does make a better ski model than I do. How can I compete? Would you still consider me working for you at a fraction of the cost? Just get me baked and I'll point it off something sick!
-
-
So...who made it out today for the closure?
I had to work.
-
And true to fashion, the day after all the resorts close there's a huge dump. GLad to see some things are constant and never change...

Thats kind of freaky loc dog. Tell your patroller buddy to get that crust checked out.
Skiing looks good up there, makin me jealous.
We've had some good corn snow lately, but the last couple days the wind has been out of control.
Just brought my bike in for a tune up today.

That was hilarious^^
Tone capone - if you want to work at a discount, you have to get
me baked buddy.
Tomorrow is going to be sick...anybody ski today?
-
3 mo'fuckin OE's? that is impressive,
I never could do more than 2 in my college days.
Our buddy got so wasted one closing day that the only thing
he remembers is getting picked up off 19th street by the cops
where he was laying in the middle of the road w/ blood covering his
head. They took him to the hospital because they have no idea what
has happened to him but he is still wearing his ski boots.
The nurses tried to look at him, but he started swearing at them and trying to escape.
After some questions being asked, and events reconstructed, it turns out he was dragging behind some dude's
car named bong hit bob in his ski boots (just sliding on the pavement). He fell off and was left in the middle of 19th, pretty much unconscious, where the cops later found him.
Partying like it was 1989!

last I heard bridger bro is shitting in a bag due to a poorly executed drop in his adopted new home of ta-bro. Poor guy, he begged and begged for me to go out and take care of him during his long and painful rehab. Too bad we've been getting so much pow this year. Looks like no end in sight!! Keep harvesting that corn bro, and don't forget to empty that thing any time you are out stalking Ingrid.
