wow, who put all the paperclips where the posting icons go? and they generate latin text too? ok, no pics, but in less epic efforts, magic was pretty outstanding yesterday, bell to bell. no wind, some sun at first chair, and the most hero of snow that remained smooth and easy underfoot all day. bumped into folks who dont post here much anymore and rode the quad with biggins early afternoon (good meeting you!) first time at magic with the quad in play. lines never got bad, and it was a treat for first couple of hours to have the chair *right there* coming down black. it had been a couple of years and was great to be back. https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...0-046b1a4bf935

I was out there Sunday too. First day ever at magic and it lived up to its reputation. Missed the freshest tracks due to an unavoidable late night but will definitely be returning in a few weeks to cash in my last indy pass day. Muscles are aching after a pico >> bush >> magic 3-peat.
super breezy at the loaf, full t bar conditions

Four and a quarter inches bob by the time it finished snowing this afternoon. Ninety minutes of freezing rain starting at nine opening bell. HG and NL on wind hold until eleven forty-five. Lift had been spinning slow for forty plus minutes and on a second check with lift ops they said twenty or so minutes. Told them that I didn't have anything better to do and waited for first chair. Well worth it with lots of blown in snow skiers right. The snow quality today was perfect dense snow that skied great. Gonna be wild this holiday weekend, yikes.
Saw saddleback was very explicit about no uphilling while closed due to wind. Gets more like it’s corporate brethren all the time. Sugarloaf was letting folks uphill to the spillway crosscut while the upper lifts were closed, but eventually did get t-bar #3 opened. I thought the point of the Saddleback t-bar was so they could allow skiing when the chairs were shut.
well, props to you. my legs were well cooked for a few days after just sunday. i did ski bell-to-bell, save a 1hr power nap late in the day :0]once i got back on the snow for a final run i realized i *really* didn't need that last run. and no flat snow to lighten the load!i hadn't been there in years and was pleased to find the vibe very much, and the black quad kept lines to a minimum.
magic over-delivered today. no rain, sleet and snow all day got everything (save top of magician?) opened incl black magic, green line. got to ski red, black and green the same day for the first time in many years.
skipped last chair to save a little for next storm still unable to post pics ...
Loaf T bars on hold today, bad things happen when they swing. SL allows uphill to whatever point patrol is on the hill, someone will be at Skyline shack during wind hold until lift ops pulls the plug for the day.
Cat what's the coverage looking like in the Black & White Glade this week? Andover vs Black end better?

Kinda quiet in this thread, considering the dumpage.
Snow day in town yesterday so we skied down to the lake, kicked and glided along the bike path, and ended up at Foam Brewers just as the afternoon band started.

A old college friend visited last night so we earned some turns in the howling winds. Good thing we chose an eastern facing zone. When we got to the gap, the westerly wind made our decision easy to not stick around. Temp at the trailhead was -15f so god knows what it was up top.

It must have taken a hearty soul to sit on a chairlift today.
we got 75cm in these two storms. skiing was good today. 3 degrees and 40mph winds was perfect for the 150m vert too.
Black was good fun yesterday. Toured over to Rumford Whitecap. Some new glades for me over there. Cold and windy like everyplace. Snow was generally good with a spot or two wind blown to low levels. Area saw a good amount of traffic today. RWC is a real gem.
bucket it looks like numbers are working now, maybe try the tgr app again or tapatalk? you too, cat.
me? too alone and too cold for photos. but i’m still thinking about it.
First time skiing up at Cannon Sat & Sun. Great mountain, lots of fun glades and great vibe. Sunday started off fantastic w first ones into a few glades, but winds took over and shut lifts down one after another. Ended up taking shuttle from closed zoomer back to main area, talked my way into last spot on the shuttle, driver nearly forced me to sit on my friends lap, glad for both of us spot on the floor. Cinnamon buns at tram house were definitely worth the stop.

Monday was tough to plan for w so many wind holds, ended up going to Waterville Valley. Their 6-pack was down and wind howling, but they ran triple most of the day. Soft turns aplenty, w some great windbuff, though some tricky spots throughout. Wind was even rebuffing the groomed part of True Grit every few laps.

Cannon is a great hill. A lot of off the map terrain that is damn fun and if Tramline is open (or poachable [emoji16]) with good snow, it is my favorite trail inda east by far. So many pillow drops an airs. Just too fun...sharky af, but that's what they make ptex for.
Too bad the winds were up for your visit.
I was just up in NH- Cannon/Bretton Woods two weekends in a row. Lol…skied that “rope line” under the Cannonball quad (in pic) several times….(huge whales on it)
To say Cannon and Bretton Woods ski differently would put it mildly….Liked both/ just different experiences and terrain.
Friends in Franconia..Very impressed….decent beer at Reklis too.
Wrong thread lol
Skied to errands and to yoga and back Sunday and yesterday. A first and pretty amazing. Didn’t have to portage, not even under the underpass. That counts right? Not wanting to move my car has kept me home. On street parking is a mess rn. Never seen so much snow all at once in town.
