Yeah, moved on, don't think about it. But when doing web searches this holiday season, I ignored the bc.com results.

Purty much. Not worth getting angry over, there is enough other stuff for that.
Amazon gave BC as the 1st choice.
Gladly, there were other vendors.
bout 8 years ago a mag (fat yeti) started a pt ski tech help wanted thread

the company's changed a lot been sold by the orginal owner, bought a bike business, gone from a single brick and mortar attached to the warehouse to 4 stores in the satch when we partnered with 2tracks
id ask that you do or don't patronize the 9 based on the prices , level of service and company doings
rather than their willingness to hire the chemically dependent goofball that makes this place his e-dwelling;)
Resurrection time.
Not to beat a dead horse, (OK, maybe a little bit) but I just came across this:

Are there any mags with die-cut capability who can make something like this?

Found a great deal on a piece I've been seeking for a while on steep & cheap but passed because FUCK bc.com.
Interesting article on BC.com's efforts to save face: https://www.snewsnet.com/gear/the-ba...one-year-later
If I finger blasted that goat without consent could I be charged?
Asking for a friend.

Seems to me they’re making a legit effort to right the wrongs....

Curious how much the whole fiasco has affected their 500+ million in annual sales revenue, if at all.
Thanks for posting this. To me, they’ve made a solid effort to make things right for their lapse in judgement. Even the Backcountry Ski guy, who originally shined the spotlight on BC’s tactics, seems to be happy with how things were handled.
Gotta believe it was a lot or they wouldn’t have fired Nielsen.
I thought the reason they ended up firing Nielsen was because he panicked in Mid March and laid off a ton of staff on a whim.
I haven't bought a single item from Backcountry since this shit went down despite having been a fairly regular customer before. Apparently, neither have plenty of you. Congratulations

Maybe they shouldn’t have paid stupid influencers money for their posts or gone after companies with “backcountry” in the name. Fuck them.
Oops
Unsustainable growth and mergers followed by running the business into the ground followed by selling the IP all while the people at the top take the money out of it hand over fist seems to be the pretty standard way of doing business in America. It's even worse if it's a publicly traded company where all that matter is next quarter's stock price.
Picked up some great deals on steep and cheap BITD when they shipped to canada.
Online blowout sites have taken a hit after tge covid hay day. Ive lost a bunch of bike part sites i used to frequent
