Yeah, moved on, don't think about it. But when doing web searches this holiday season, I ignored the bc.com results. :shrug:

Purty much. Not worth getting angry over, there is enough other stuff for that.

bout 8 years ago a mag (fat yeti) started a pt ski tech help wanted thread

the company's changed a lot been sold by the orginal owner, bought a bike business, gone from a single brick and mortar attached to the warehouse to 4 stores in the satch when we partnered with 2tracks
id ask that you do or don't patronize the 9 based on the prices , level of service and company doings
rather than their willingness to hire the chemically dependent goofball that makes this place his e-dwelling;)

Well, they fired the CEO and the General Counsel who hired the trademark lawyer guns, and they fired the trademark firm. So, yes...everyone who did make these decisions is gone.

Curious how much the whole fiasco has affected their 500+ million in annual sales revenue, if at all.

Thanks for posting this. To me, they’ve made a solid effort to make things right for their lapse in judgement. Even the Backcountry Ski guy, who originally shined the spotlight on BC’s tactics, seems to be happy with how things were handled.

I thought the reason they ended up firing Nielsen was because he panicked in Mid March and laid off a ton of staff on a whim.

Unsustainable growth and mergers followed by running the business into the ground followed by selling the IP all while the people at the top take the money out of it hand over fist seems to be the pretty standard way of doing business in America. It's even worse if it's a publicly traded company where all that matter is next quarter's stock price.
