I bet he would. I want to see how they hold up in terms of reliability.

Seeing as there are 1800hp compound turbo 1fz builds out there I doubt half an atmosphere of boost will phase it. The 1fz and 2jz gte are very similar motors and stock they last for a very long time in a Supra.
Maybe throw an intercooler in there to keep temps low and don't get greedy. My observation with the wits turbo was that unless you floored it, you were mostly cruising with 1-2 lbs of boost. So really not very much extra air and fuel.
Also second data point is I have seen multiple 1fz that are still running okay (although a little tired) with 400k+ miles no rebuild.

Slightly off topic, but had to share that the wife picked up a 100 series LX 470 today. 15 years old, 130k miles and it goes down the road like it's floating on a cloud. Going to have to make it down to the Slee office in Golden one of these days.

Looks nice!
Another 100-series item, but may apply to an 80, too. This fall, I installed a generic(?) high flow muffler because the old OEM muffler rusted out. I’m averaging 2+ mph higher now. That seems pretty significant to me.
Just had 4.88s put in and going through the 500 mile break in. I don't drive it that often so took a Sunday drive. I really like the gears.
Noticeable on pavement, especially hills. I think radness in the desert but need to get them broke in and checked before I try it.
Not an 80 series, but I was excited when my Hundy rolled 300,000 today on the way back from a ski trip.
That means this truck has burned about 22,000 gallons of fuel.
Aw yeah. That's what I'm talking about.

Distancing and new gear checking in the desert. The 4.88s are sweet.
Jealous. I did take the new watercraft down the Salmon in a vain search of steelhead today. Your recommendation and advice proved to be very well warranted. That thing rows like a drift boat, displaces water like a jet boat and made everything very comfortable.

While not an 80 series, I spotted this in Idaho Falls yesterday. I didn’t even call to ask how much. I have no connection to the seller and merely saw this in a parking lot. They must have just put it out there was a steady train of folks pulling to to look at it.
Pretty sweet huh?

^certainly falls under the "if you have to ask..." rule.
The wife used to work for a family that had a resto'd 45. At least they paid her well.
Rock Warriors are OEM wheels from a few different other Toyota trucks. Mainly I want them because they're oem and smaller diameter than the 100 stockers.
I have a set of Rock Warrior wheels in WA if you can't find them locally. Not worth shipping but maybe a traveling mag could transport.
