Would you eat it?

Organic chicken breast bought last Monday and dropped in marinade (Garlic salad dressing) last Wednesday. Put in fridge and found today. Cooked to 165+ and put on salad.

Feels less risky than previous experiments but definitely juicy. We’ll see.

Tomorrow is the smoked kielbasa from my favorite German Village (OH) restaurant and kraut that came from Goldbelly as a Father’s Day gift about the 4th of July. On principle I can’t let that go to waste. It was cooked before it shipped and in the fridge the whole time so it’s gotta be good. Right?

Plenty of shelf life left in the marinated chicken. Don't even worry about he kielbasa and kraut. That shit lasts forever.

Kraut is long lasting fermented goodness.
My system doesn't seem to be able to handle older leftovers anymore. Well, something messed up my gut and my guess is it was the Thai curry I made that got a few days old. Old coconut milk and capsaicin. Does wonders. Could have been the lime wedges getting old too. I'm doing a course of probiotic.

Meat pasta sauce and lasagna left covered out overnight?

As long as it doesn’t have a funk and you heat it through before you eat it again I’m sure it’s fine.

I'm ok with the sauce but for some reason the dairy (cheese) in the lasagna has me a bit tepid. (neither are moving tho!)

Dairy is probably the least sketchy part, it's either pasteurized beyond belief and can't support the growth of anything or it's already gone through 1 round of bacterial growth and not much is going to get in there.
As others have said, unless the whole dish is trying to move away from you or its surface is rippling (unlikely given that it was covered), I wouldn't even think twice about eating it.

I'm just strange when it comes to dairy and I completely agree and trust what Boissal and others are saying. I know, it's weird and completely illogical.

It's kind of like how I couldn't eat steak for years after I had appendicitis. It was the last meal before it burst. I knew medically steak had nothing to do with it but I just had no desire for it for a long time.

Dude, the sweatier and more left out the cheese the better!

My parent's keep their cheese out on the counter, it never goes in the fridge. It's covered with a mesh dome to prevent any flying critter from going in, and their house rarely gets any hotter than mid60s, but the stuff happily lives in the open and stays delicious. Probably ages a bit faster than if it were kept cold but cheese has an incredibly short lifespan over there and gets consumed FAST. They will put really soft stuff in the fridge on occasion but it's mostly to keep it from getting extra runny and escaping the container.

That being said, better safe than sorry with food, and if your head says no your gut is not going to be very excited. No shame in treating the dog with the lasagna.

With food I cook or grew in the garden, and meat in general I'm a lot more resistant to toss. These are meaningless and will likely get tossed. But a little bummed that I left them in my car that got hot several days out of a week.

I feel like maybe they have enough preservatives to last a year but not worth it...

Those things will last thousands of years. Plenty fine to eat.

Fresh made Spring rolls (chicken and veggie) and assuming chicken is already cooked but the roll itself remains unbaked/unfried?

Sell by date was 9/21. Have not sniffed or tested how dried out the wrappers are.

All of that stuff is better when it's hot. Throw it back on your dash board.

Ok despite the no-go from Thaleia I carried on with the spring rolls. Rolled in olive oil and Nuked in the oven at 400F for about 20 min, came out crispy and tasty and holding them down so far!

Buckle up!!

Kidding, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just personally been extraordinarily picky with food lately.

Client sends me a $100 turkey without saying anything. Sits at my UPS store mailbox for 2 days unrefrigerated in a box that says keep refrigerated.
