I was blown away the first time I heard this song. Didn’t know at the time it was inspired by Coltrane and Ravi Shankar, but knew it was different than anything I’d heard before.
Turns out David Crosby introduced the Beatles to Ravi Shankar, which led to them going to India, and the whole Guru thing.
This is a longer jazzy version of the song.
^^rippin it up! Bass player looks sooo high

Need some Gvt Mule about now
And some Trucks and Wife. I’m not that fond of her voice, but she does a decent job on this song.
Their band is always tight. Theyre great together

I know she’s very talented, and there are several songs where she does well, but it seems like she leans on her southern accent a lot rather than hitting notes. But I’m no music expert, so what do I know.
Of course she’s his wife, and it only makes sense that they’d tour together. But there are times I really wish Derek were playing with someone like (a younger version) of Bonnie Bramlett.
By the way, that’s Bob Dylan’s car, and his boots sticking out the window.
Just came across this again recently, and have been bingeing it on loop.

Just a sweet, simple song from his first solo album. Extra poignant coming soon after the Beatles' breakup.
Instrumental version, and very nice guitar lesson for those so inclined.
