I’m told (have not seen it myself….) I’m now on garbage cans at Alterra resorts.
awesome sauce
Do ewe!
Was at REI (Issaquah, WA) and you can buy the Ikon there now. You even earn your full 10% dividend on the purchase. Pretty sweet if you are an REI member. Not sure if it will be in place next year for renewals, if you can use your dividend towards purchase or if under return policy. If I buy again and it doesn't impact renewal discounts, would definitely buy there.
Which way are Ikon pass sales trending this year? Will inflation, gas prices, economic uncertainty and being locked up from Rona result in lower sales?
IMO, the best thing IKON could have done is take the idiotic word "yew" and turn it into their punchline. Hopefully people will stop using it now.
No idea why people feel some need to have a catchphrase for their stoke. Profanity and screams are good enough for me. If I ever find myself needing to make myself more unique by introducing slogans to my excitement skiing, I've missed the point of skiing - which actually starts to make more sense as it concerns IKON.

Two four packs in our household both arrived about 2 weeks ago
Pass printed last week... hoping I don't have to pick it up on opening weekend in Mammoth, as I'm guessing it'll be a shitshow.
I think demand will stay high for the Ikon pass, until a recession really clamps down on spending. I don't think we're at that point yet.
My pass was mailed, got it ~1 month ago
got mine, tho it was a weekday local that included parking. No mention of the parking in the pass materials received.
Got a postcard in the mail regarding class action lawsuit due to covid closure in 2020. My initial reaction is fuck those lawyers. Everything was shut down, we weren't even supposed to be leaving our houses then (yeah, sounds crazy now), so some entitled douches think they deserve money because they couldn't ski for a few weeks? But, free money is free money, and opting out just means more for everyone else (of course, the lawyers cut remains the same). Thoughts?
Looks like I used 9 days on the 19/20 pass, so don't think I get anything. They reduce compensation depending on usage.
Me, I'm akin to yelling out, "hold my d*ck!" as I blissfully slay untracked snow under the lift.
Opt in. Fuck everyone (except you fine maggots) and ski corps. I want in on this. I used my pass a few times in '20, but had to buy additional days at a certain Wyoming resort because there weren't any reservation spots that day.
I got in about 30 days that season--couldn't start skiing until January because I had heart surgery in October, got in a lot of groomer days in dry January and February. So I wouldn't qualify, and even if I did, no amount of money could make up for the all the lost powder days, because the lifts shut at Palisades exactly when it started dumping. A powder day not skied is gone forever.
When your pass comes, double-check and make sure they included the top-notch priceless quality coasters
2016 Blizzard Brahma w/ Griffons - 187
2017 Moment Bibby Pro w/ STH2 16s - 190
2019 Nordica Enforcer 104 Free w/ STH2 16s - 190
2019 Line Sick Day 104 w/ Shifts - 186
Oh... I get it now.
No coasters, but once years ago we got the world's shittiest hat.
After seeing the pics of the ridiculous crowds at Solitude this morning, I just don't see how these passes will be sustainable at the resorts that offer unlimited skiing. The Ikon is such a no brainer in the current configuration if you live in Utah. That means Solitude has 10+x the number of Season Pass holders they had previously.
While I know it's the first day and first resort in Utah open, limited terrain, blah blah blah. There's just no way that shoveling the numbers they are into a limited number of resorts can never make a great "guest experience".
