^^^ Nothing really to add other than that these are also high on my list if I add a 90ish waist bc ski. I'm kinda torn between the Loc 88, Wayback 88 and Solly Mtn 86. Have at least one friend on the Loc 104 and she really digs em as a do everything bc ski.
Any feedback/consensus on the kastle tx87?
Still unsure about what boot I would ski it with but I have my hawx xtd for everyday use as well as some quantum asolos which I got for dirt cheap here in italy.
My skinny ski career has consisted in the very first orb Freebirds back in the day and some Salomon s-lab (borrowed for a couple outings).
Working on jigs for light touring and skimo bindings. Currently have ATK, Alpinist. OAZO and ION/ZED are coming asap. Jigs will be accurate enough to mount even non-adjustable skimo bindings quickly and easily. What models would you want? Off topic but also have pivot and marker. Tyrolia / Attack should be out next week.
Trab! Vario.2, Titan Gara, Titan Vario Light, TR-2 (although not sure how popular they are). The first three I believe are 30x27mm toes, should make things easier.
Ooh I wasn't aware of this vario light business... So is that trab bringing back the vario 1, but without the adjustment plate? Very interested.

I was able to pick up a lightly used 186 BTM94 for very cheap reacently. Going to mount them up with MTN toes and R150 (with K14 plate) heels to land in the H-pattern. This will keep it light and hopefully fill the gaping quiver hole between Backland UL85 and CD104L nicely. Any recomendation on mount point? Has anyone cut a skin notch into those tips? Looks like they need to be short to not interfere with the Völkl hole in the tips. Otherwise I am not too woried as the construction seems solid and there is no edge around the tip.

I think in general, though, consensus seems to be it has got a pretty wide margin for good mounting positions, plus or minus. I am not sure about tip mods.Quote:

I made an attachment that goes through the hole in the BMT tip, but I think this guy has drilled a notch in front of it http://www.skimolife.com/journal/201...bing-skin.html
I've been following the advice in that article and run skins with no tail clip the last couple of years without issue, just keep an eye on the last four inches of glue and touch up occasionally.
Another option are the ski trab skin tips, which I think are great.
