RIP Blue...condolances
Dogs give us so much and the most painful lesson they share with us is when they pass on. It is hard learning to deal with the grieve of a departed friend, but that is the last lesson they share with us. Sorry for your loss Skij. There is another best buddy out there waiting for you to find them.
My best bud just had his dog put down the day before his birthday. Rough.
She was sick for a while but deteriorated very quickly within the last week.

Thanks, liv2ski - and All ...
'Lucy' was at the hill last month --
after an anxious moment,
'Blue' said,
" Can We play !?! "
That got me thinking ...
I had wanted to add a buddy for 'Blue' years ago ... and
our circumstances were Not-right .
So(,) three weeks ago,
I saw a flier. and met 'Too' and 'Holly' :
six week old Heeler / Aussie shep. hybrids. ... we've been together two weeks, tomorrow.
... sweet (girls) --
'Blue' got 'em started . . .
we wanted a little More Time. Of course(,) it was Not - to - be.
training is mine. and then
They get to share 'Blue's big job. ...
Thanks, Maggs :
I still love this place ... !
Hey! let's go skiing ! !! tj
Condolences to all. It's amazing how close we get our dogs- how they become part of you. I sometimes still wait to hear Jesse at the gate when I get home and it's been 8 months.

Attachment 177023 I sure miss this boy. 2 1/2 yrs ago I cried while I typed my first post in this thread. Now I bow my head as I read your posts. Rest easy little buds. Thanks for all the good times, till we meet again.
it was a good run, pup. 14 years and not a gray hair to show. credit to my mother for a solid ~25 mile/week exercise routine; i hope i go out running as well.

the cycle continues
Sorry to hear it, shroom.
Sorry shroom, 14 yrs is a nice long run, but parting after so long is probably even harder. Handsome devils, both of them.
Vibes for all the recent losses above, I thought I'd post a story that'll make everyone's day and remind us how loyal and noble these critters are.

My heart goes out to M & H. Don't know of many, perhaps even any people for who their pups are so much part of their family.
Glad to have spent quality time with you Jessie.
Met a guy today, his dachsund is 17, blind, incontinent, and can't walk without assistance. There comes a time, in my book.
So sorry ACH.

Vibes to everyone struggling with their dogs.
Its been a yr since Kips surgery and although he's struggling with his leg, he's still going strong and putting smiles on faces.
