I love this. I love the contrast on the left vs right side of the frame. I dig the comp. I dig the unique nature of the self-portrait. I dig the signs. So much radness in this shot!
Can't remember if I posted this or not… But, small little ego-boost with it picked up on flickr's Explore

Last week while taking a water taxi about 30 miles from Jaco to Montezuma, C.R. I was looking for dolphins and whales when I saw something flying out of the water. While pointing at it the boat captain says Manta. I thought holy shit, pics of these could be pretty cool. After scannning about 180 degrees of ocean and trying to get the camera on them breaching was proving futile as you never knew where they would pop up. Usually I'm pretty fast getting on a target but this was almost impossible. Stopped down the aperture and focused half way out the horizon and held the camera at arms length so I could swing faster and absorb the jolting boat going 30 miles an hour. The results aren't great but I got these suckers catching air!

Had been completely slacking off photography-wise due to work. Some super shots posted all around -- too many to mention individually.
Due to our impending NZ move, I've not been on any stressful/time-consuming projects, allowing time to explore more.
It has been a very mild winter (don't think it ever got below 7C/45F), and spring has arrived early; recently we had some 18C/65F days:

Great dusk shots Fuzz! Good luck with the move!
camera had been collecting dust for quite a few months; it was nice to mess around again in boston last week.

dude, im OCD about that too - i think i ended up leveling based off of the kick plates on the doors / bottom of the windows, but there's definitely something bugging me about it. GIMP is a bitch to level on (or im not using it right) too, compared to what i used to do in CS5.
it was also a super old building, so maybe there's some leaning or something going on. i'll give it another shot at some point soon.
Yeah, no worries. Maybe try getting the center column vertical instead of getting the horizontal level? It could just be distortion, too.
Either way, I like the shot!
My leveling game got way better when I started using Lightroom for it. In PS or Gimp I was total shit.
