Thanks Steve,
Looks like the weather hasn't been too bad down that way.

There's a baldy that sits on a streetlight on the 520 bridge every afternoon. If only I could stop and take his pic...

some nice ski shots this year Steve… And mtcham, always with the rad wildlife
I haven't skied lots of deep cold snow, hopefully that changes next week and we get out on the skinner for some ice cream headaches. We did have the semblance of a pow day finally. I was alone and spun the lifts for a few hours before work.
I did celebrate getting some pow turns though

Sick.
Wow.
Cool truck. A customer I work with starts telling me about a truck he inherited from his grandpa. Turns out it is a 72 Bronco from Arizona. Told him to bring me a picture and it is a perfect rust free specimen now sitting in a garage in Iowa. Amazing.
Those eagle shots ^^ are awesome...
took this [bracketed] shot/s a couple years ago but the HDR software (free) I had could never do it justice.. so I got a diff ($) software and it finally produced exactly how it was...

It is a sweet old truck. I have a buddy with a 250 and another with a 350… Those would work. I have Tundra, I don't think that would work.
Thanks. I don't know who owns that one. The second shot of it I posted is starting to grow on me… It looks like a shot that could be from the 80's.
The aforementioned friend with the 350 had an old one of those. I believe I posted a shot of it.
If not…

That was a 1 second exposure. We weren't driving fast. In fact, just leaving the curb. That rattly old truck doesn't run smooth enough for a clean shot unless you're accelerating. It's a balance of not going too fast or leaving the shutter open to long because the motion is nice, but too much takes away from the effect I think… That was also shot at 11mm (FF equivalency 16-ish) pressed all the way back up against the tailgate.

Thanks Chad,
We had ~8in. of snow in Bellingham by Sunday night, then it rained, and now it's bluebird and cold. I haven't been shooting much the past few weeks and in the shower I decided to bring my camera gear to campus today. Grabbed these as I left for the bus.

Walked around Portland shooting pics for a work project. Grabbed a few for myself along the way.

BeardedClam- love the perspective and the contrast in that one. Awesome shot.
Here's one from across the street this morning after we got a few inches of snow in a couple hours.

Right on man! I've only ever really shot with Pentax and its super easy to find quality old glass for cheap. Growing up, my mom had a Superprogram that she didn't want to lug around on hikes so she taught me how to use it. Now I've made enough money selling shots from an old k-7 to justify the upgrade to a k-3. I still use her old lenses though, there's something nice about actually focusing a camera and not needing to not worry about breaking the hefty metal lenses. And it also saves battery life on traverses or filming!
Thanks Steve, its fun trying to figure out how to blow highlights and shadows in the scene for contrast, and it definitely worked with that one.
