Where was this spotted at? Pretty sure I saw that van a lot at trailheads in the Tucson area this winter.

The 4 cyl diesel 2WD sprinters with 7 spd can get an honest 25 mpg real world hwy. the 6 cyl diesel AWD sprinters had a 5 spd and with typical upsized AT tires get 16-18 hwy depending on size (tall roof). My short WB diesel transit got 24 mpg when it was stock and partly built out. Now, with 2” lift and part time 4WD and bigger AT tires and 1100 lbs or so of fully built out crap, 21-22 typical tank (mostly hiway).
The modern vans are efficient but then people throw on roof racks and shit and aerodynamics get worse.

Bonus points for the vanity license plate and creative traction board attachment? Snorkel and gas cans out of view on the right. Couldn't tell what the red handled tool next to the jack was, shovel or something more serious.
Quite pleased with my first catch I must say...

Gotcha - thanks for the feedback.
I assumed all that shit went on a roof rack that mounted directly to the hard top. Looks like a real chore to get top off with that contraption around it. Only ever seen them on soft tops before. Live and learn.
So jeepers enlighten me...
What the heck is this on the door?

Hinge step. Part of it folds down for roof gotos access.
When you run out of things to bolt to your Jeep, the Jeep elves design more stuff.
Wall mounted bottle opener? The tops fall into the hole...
This is a few years old. Among other things, there’s a box of firewood up there and a skinny Thule box

Our 4x4 turbodiesel v6, high top 144 with a rack, suspension lift, oversize tires and ladder on the side gets around 15-17 if we keep it under 70 mph. Cruising at 80+ it's going to do more like 12. Not the ideal commuter. Was getting 18-20 before we converted it. Wet weight is about 8500lbs.
Got one, a sportmobile.
You know they spent a good amount of time getting the right rotation on the traction ladders before posting to Instagram

- D-handle, wood shaft shovel (2)
- Hi-Lift
- awning
- roof box (maybe something in it)
- ladder
- garbage bag
- bike rack
- metal box
- there is a spot for a gas can, by the ladder, but it wasn’t there. De-gotos’d.
^^^ I think I see a solar panel and maybe a rear facing LED light bar up on that roof too.
This page has strong contenders. telee’s find in particular is a thread-winner.
OG GOTOS is on the primary vehicle. Trailer GOTOS is kind of a different category.
