Just put a deposit on a Kia EV6 AWD. Should have it within a month. Some places are charging up to $10k for a "market adjustment," so I feel lucky to get it for MSRP. It will be interesting to see how practical it turns out to be for driving over mountain passes in winter here in WY.

Yes. It has a 2/3 1/3 seat fold down, and with the driver seat all the way back, and the smaller 1/3 seat down, I can fit my 193 skate skis corner to corner. It’s tight but you can do it. Do it the other way and have the 1/3 be the “up” part and have the rear passenger sit behind the driver, then the skis could go diagonal or lay on top of the armrest.Quote:

Real reason was 1 driver, 2 vehicles. The car came early and dealer is in another town. My wife has a couple crazy weeks coming up and wasn't going to be a able to go to the dealership with me to pick it up, and it was a bit too far to ask a friend to go. I was sad not to get to drive the EV home but now that I have it the ICE truck can sit idle and I will drive the EV powered by my home PV system.Quote:

Never occurred to me. But it’s a ductless split system for cars.
Makes heat or ac. But more efficient than resistance heat. And no need for separate ac system.
Also, funny about heated seats, but in winter it’s a good morning start towards comfort.
I could see not running the cabin heat as much if I had a slight glow on my backside.
Model Y and the 2021+ Model 3 have heat pumps.

Bottom line - both affect mileage, but roof rack takes the bigger hit. Racks affect the sedan more than a small SUV.
