Just spoken to an English ski instrutor in Alpe d'Huez who said that snow is fantastic, best he's known it at this stage.

And I'm arriving there on Sunday ......... difficult to keep calm and concentrate on what I've go to do before leaving.

Was I right to get the impression that Bad Roo and Gincognito are there now? Really appreciat some TRs from you guys.

Just had a text message from Bad Roo who reported a blue-bird day with some powder to be had. Sounds like they're having fun...................bastards!

2 short chairs and the access Cable Car (tram) is all we have open in Cham at the moment. But very nice snow it is all the same

yesterday was a fantastic day with some great photo sluttage going on. i am sure that the pics will go up as soon as roo gets an internet connection.

It was a bluebird day with some nice powder suprises. we got a lot of knee deep turns and a couple of nipple deep. Unfortuatly i wrenched my knee really badly and it is now nice and swollen. This is the reason that i am here in grenoble at a crappy internet cafe while the others are (hopefully) getting some nice fresh turns at St Pierre de Chatreuse.

Mrs Roo: it is not all fun and games though... we have decided that due to the amount of pollution that is comming out of brownmonkey s butt that his boardname will become browncloud

Snow is good, and there's lots of it.
But nothing underneath.
Spent the day skiing it in, in what I call, Mountain Management.

I hit only about 3 rocks, but others weren't far from my boards.
I got a good tree hump in too.
While digging myself out, I kept finding hollow spots. Couldn't push myself up.

Ski in your stashes, get them ready for the season.

That could definitely be a nice. Snow-forecast.com never struck me as very accurate though, especially 4 days out... but we can hope!

you didn't like the 20cm base in engelberg ? ;)

btw. it's gonna be quite huge, but im still not sure where it will snow the most. although snow forecast has reduced its frenzy, the outlook is quite tasty for all the northern alps. :)
a serious jet streak and forced elevation/rise at the alps should make the precip really strong. the models ususally do not get this right and it could snow even more than indicated.
im planning to go to the krippenstein because they got a base already and engelberg does not. (and you can't see a thing there if it is dumping)

As long as Les Arcs gets dumpage, I'll be happy. They're currently forecasting 20cm on Friday, but I guess the prediction will reduce by then. The wind has truly fucked the snow that's currently there, so it's much needed :-\

Not core. zipper, but not core. You need to rip all the way down and see the shine of metal before it is called core.

For me, a core shot every couple weeks.

OK, now let's get back to predicting the epicenter and total cm's of this next storm.
