Pics or it didn’t happen
It's also right at, and likely over, the GVWR for a 3500 chassis. There's a reason Earthroamer use F550 chassis...
Speaking of Earthroamer, why not just get one of those? Have we reached Peak Overland when someone thinks he can sell his Dodge truck with a DIY camper shell for that much?
Retail $$ in = Retail $$ out is one of the most infuriating CL pricing models out there. Right up there with "easy fix" (so EASY I haven't done it). "Spun bearing - EZ Fix!"
See what happens is when people are in the BUSINESS of making those, they buy more than one fucking part at a time and get what's called a discount.
No kidding. And imagine throwing all of the gorp in the closet instead of all over the outside? Of course this rig is really only suited for someone who wants to haul [small] toys. I'd rather have the living space. Although, with a custom made tent and support legs and you could have a nice screen room back there. Camper with a porch. But not for their asking price.
Could prob substitute a King Ropes hat as well.Attachment 376414

^^^Priceless
Another sighting on the Metolius...
Question for the judges - are points awarded for externally mounted firewood?
Attachment 376421
There's a high-lift on the other side.
No way man. I didn't manage extra points for this thing. Hilarity sure.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6b886f25a4.jpg
I thought a point was awarded for the petrified whale penis
The aggressive steel bumper is a little much, but otherwise, I think that is a Wrangler build done right.
How many points for that thing on the hood?
Fly rod holder. Suction or magnet. Not permanent. Not really GOTOS. Pretty handy for bouncing hole to hole throughout the day.
Except there's a lot of volcanic rock roads around here and the silica dust eats the crap out of reels/lines. And there are nice trails on each side of the river - no need to drive much between holes here.
But then again, a Rubicon isn't long enough to fit a 9' rod inside, like a lezburu.
That said, I wouldn't count the rod holders either
I think that only applies to OEM rods, aftermarket ones might be acceptable.

It’s a Rubicon, it was done right from the factory. Basically zero people need more “capability” than a stock Wrangler Rubicon

If he had Jerry cans and rescue treads he could win this contest
The “one less sprinter” sticker is a little bit ironic dontcha think?
I'd guess lighter converted sprinters get around 20. Do you really get 14+ in a high top 350? Diesel, I assume? That's way above what I've heard most people get with full sized vans.
My GMC 3500 work van gets 12-13 with a 6L gas engine, and I drive like a grandma. My 22' Winnebago gets 12, diesel.

Yes. I always hand calculate, start full on a trip, fill up when home and divide miles driven by the amount of fill up. Also track along the trip if I fill up. A 46 gal tank gets me pretty far though. 6.0L with some bulletproofing and an economy tune. If I go over 70, mileage tanks. Best I've done is 16.5 doing 55 in OR. Worst I've done is 11 going 80 on the freeway to NM.
He does have a jerry can, fastened to the right of the one less sprinter storage box. Quite the “capable” off road shuttle rig, space for 7 bikes? Was hoping I saw the dude so I could ask him where he shuttles folks, and how much all those purdy accessories + 4x4 conversion cost compared to the sprinters he hates so much.
