Nordica Enforcers - TGR-Enough for Their Own Thread

Headed up to my local hill to ski soft groomers and deep, heavy leftovers from our recent storm cycle. Intended to ski my MFree 108’s. After one run, decided that the Dynastars weren’t cutting it with the slightly firmer than expected conditions. Swapped to my 191 E104’s and had a heck of a day. Came close to finding the speed limit a few times, but otherwise enjoyed the ability to push the ski hard without it pushing back. Visibility was a challenge so was nice to have something that was able to pull back on easily and them push on when visibility improved. Such a versatile ski!

I have the 93. Back when I was researching--mainly Blister--I got the idea that once you got into the 3 figure sizes it was a different ski, more of a soft snow ski and less of a charger than the narrower ones, and not just because of the width difference. I haven't read the reviews since or tried the wider versions so that may have changed.

Had a 15 inch pow day with my 66 year old dad last week on his Enforcer Free 110s. It was the deepest snow he's ever skied and he was so stoked.

He's on a two ski quiver now with Enforcer Free 110s and 104s.

The combination of easy to ski and damp is so good for him. Thanks, Enforcer fans for pointing me in that direction. I wish we had similar BSLs so I could try his 104s as a low tide ski.

Looking at soothski.com, it appears that the Enforcer 115 Free has undergone some changes over the years. I’m wondering which one would be best for the PNW between the 2020, 2022, and 2023 versions of the 115? I want something that can charge through crud but also be easy(ish) to maneuver in tight spots. A couple things I noticed from the soothski numbers…

1) the weight decreases year over year (not by a lot, but still)
2) the tips of the 2020 version look to be less stiff… not sure I’d be a fan of that charging through crud
3) torsional and bending stiffness decrease year over year, with the most significant drop coming this year with the 2023s
4) tip engagement looks to be the least with the 2022s and most with the 2023s. Does this mean the 2022s are less likely to want to edge into a turn (less catchy)? Or am I getting that mixed up?

In looking at the numbers, my gut is telling me the 2022s look best on paper for what I’m looking for… but I figured I’d get y’all’s input as well! I do like those clean 2023 top sheets the most though…

Cleared some room in the inbox, but came here to post some initial impressions on the new Enforcer 100. Finally mounted my 2022 186 Enforcer 100’s with some Warden 13’s and took them for a spin today. Conditions were firm groomers with a nice soft layer of 1-2” of fresh on top. Skis were mounted on the recommended line.

I feel like the new 100 should be renamed the Enforcer 100+. It’s almost everything the original 100 was but a bit more of everything…more backbone, higher top end, stiffer tail, and a bit more weight. I could push them harder than the old ones. Still super easy to start a turn and to link turns, but feel like they want to be pushed and skied with more intention. It was interesting that I felt like the new version was less hooky and more comfortable being tossed sideways or scrubbing speed.

The one thing they have less of is forgiveness. In roughed up snow, they hard a harsher feel. I can see why some would think this is a better ski, especially for bigger skiers who want to drive harder. I also can see where others would be disappointed that the ski isn’t as quite easy and automatic as it used to be. I quite like this new version and think I’ll put a fair bit of time on them. I’m actually a bit surprised just how much I liked this all-grown up 100.

Anyone ski the unleashed versions vs the regular? The longer running length has me interested. How is the general power of the slings the regular ones?

Swapped out my 2018 100’s in 185 for the 2021 100’s in 191.

Much better feeling ski for my style. Feel like I can keep more forward pressure and just power through everything.

Nice! I have the same 185's from 2018. They always felt like a guilty pleasure, dad-skiing-with-the-kids kind of ski. The new ones still have most of that feeling but are just better at being pushed harder, which is perfect for me. They are a nice alternatives to my Volkl M102's which are my favorite DD but a little much when trying to throttle back when skiing with my more casual family members.

Has anyone ridden different E115’s over the years? The changes they’ve made aren’t advertised very well, but on soothski you can see some dramatic difference in weight, flex, etc. I’m curious how differently they ski and if anyone prefers one over the others.

Only owned the 2018? original Enforcer 115. I hate SoothSki. But I did click and saw the difference you noted. The 2018 model is easy to ski and very manageable, especially for it's size. Looks like they may have gotten a bit stiffer over time. The 2018 model is not too stiff, but definitely stiffer than the 191 Enforcer 110 I used to own. It handles crud and variable just fine but still has a bit of playfulness in the tail and can be tossed around fairly easy. I'm 200-lbs, ski in the PNW and never felt like I needed more ski. The Enforcer 115 goes away for 23-24, so get a pair while you can.

I’m curious if anyone has ridden the 2023’s. I like those graphics the best, but the decreased weight and dramatically less torsional stiffness makes me hesitant to pull the trigger.

Didn’t notice any difference between this year’s and 2 years ago 115’s. Wasn’t expecting a difference so maybe that has something to do with it, but just felt like home the whole day I was on em

Like the Enforcer 110 the 115 got the True Tip and Carbon Chassis of the 104 without any fanfare. Got a bit stiffer and heavier on both and then in 21 onwards they must have made some tweaks so it’s back to around the 2300gr and stayed the similar since. They still say it’s the same for 23 so not sure why the change on Soothski as it should be the same. Next year the Unleashed 114 version probably goes down to one partial sheet of metal which should reduce the weight and definitely the torsional rigidity.

Saw this deal on the 22 version which is 30% off and CAN $ but I’m sure you could get it down another 10% or more. That’s the route I’d go unless you can wait till Mid March when the 23 versions go on sale.

First day on Enforcer 88 since last spring. It was the right tool for ripping groomers and noodling around in the bumps. With sunny skies ahead looks like I'll be on them a bunch.

Bluebird Whistler day today. Snow was hard but chalky and good in some spots.

Holy the Enforcer 88 is a great ski! Good stability and good edge hold. Rips anything you decide to ski yet it still allows you to break the tails free in tight stuff. It’s fast and fun. Good quiver ski.

I've meant to add on some Enforcers for a while, but didn't have a spot for them. Recently I've been feeling like I could use a 110 ski with some metal to accompany my SFB's (that are a blast in soft snow).

So I ordered the E110's in 185 (6' 155lbs) and Strive 16's. I've always loved what I've read about the E lineup and a buddy of mine acquired 115's this year and loves them.

So, here we are. This will be the most serious ski in my lineup (not much of a statement there). It will be my only ski with metal. It will also be my most traditional mount point.

To that end: thoughts on mount? This will probably be my primary work ski teaching 9-11 year old Big Mountain kids. I need a ski that is super maneuverable and can ski everything on the mountain on a given day. Soft snow performance is definitely a requirement this year. Gotta be a ski I can go 4/10's to 8/10's on. I spend a lot of time picking kids up on steep, soft, bumps.

My skis go from -6 to -2 from center. I was thinking +1 or +2 on these. They would still be the most traditional mount point I own. I'm willing to sacrifice some soft snow performance for a turnable, quick, ski. Thoughts? I know this ski will ski short.

+2 makes them really really easy to turn, feels forward, but you’d be fine based on your other skis.

My skis go from -3cm to -7cm.

I had my E104s at +2.5? Super maneuverable there. If was to do them again +2cm. Also at +2cm on my Unleashed 108s.

A couple of things to consider about the 110 in the 185-cm length…

- It’s really about a 183-cm total running length
- Over 60% of the ski is rocker. 60%!!
- The recommended mount point is like -8.5-cm from center…not really traditional
- The metal layer in every Enforcer are thinner than most other laminate skis. They make the skis heavy and damp, but not overly stiff and demanding (especially in the 110)

Going forward is fine. At your height and weight on that size, it not really necessary. From my experience (on the 191), the 110 is the loosest feeling of the entire lineup. They really are a soft snow ski that happens to do firmer conditions fairly well, as long as you are comfortable with a drop off on the top end. I called them my “Dad day powder skis”. Easy going, lots of float, and respectable on groomers.

I suspect as more people get exposed to the Unleashed 108’s, they will grow into a much more popular offering for the under 40 crowd who wants a ski that is a bit lighter and energetic.

I tried my E104s at +1, absolutely hated it. They feel much more maneuverable on the line for me. Maybe I'm too used to traditional mounts, dunno
