Yeah actually neither had I. Shame what music Hollywood put on constant rotation when FM was our only choice. I grew up with the Aerosmith version being one of my favorite songs. I'm only a few years younger than you, but I didn't hear the Yardbird's version until I was probably 30. I was thinking about posting that in the ABQ thread until I found this one, figured I'd list it here for the music aficionados instead.
And now for something completely different

Then there’s this version. They recorded it for the movie Blowup but changed the lyrics because of some copyright issue. Beck and Page, killin’ it.

The (pretentious) movie version.

Guitar-based rock is not dead yet.

Hard to not get a bit of a Neil Young vibe especially the guitar solo.

Nice. Hadn't heard of Stephen Sanchez or Sun Room, I just put them into Bandsintown, I'll go see them if they come around.
Ya i think i got both those off that "trackstarshow" account. Sanchez kid is only 21, probably dating a super model. Good rainy weekend for tunes. I still have to get some Mavis Staples, its been on the to do list for a bit. Watched this Sierra live because i cant get enough of her. Soo good. Generational talent IMO

Happy Birthday, Jackie Greene
^^^
I saw Anders Osborne and Jackie Greene together Labor Day '23, Jackie stole the show and I've been trying to go see him again ever since but he doesn't get around too much.
RIP Alice…
