Dead stop on I70 westbound at Vail Pass.
today has been great I had to work
ran into this retired drunk dentist who told me the skiing was really great today, I believe him, he lives with his kids, bro brahs have no age, they even let him have a dog, some people get all the perks
saw a pretty rental sedan being hauled into trailerthorne, the trunk was in the backseat and the right front corner was done in, all freshly minted
fucking east coast misery here, grey, humid, and rainy/snowy wet typical late april
I had to drive around all day and traffic sucked balls it was like the front range, people suck at skiing and driving
and anyone who was considering getting the colorado license plate SENDYAF well, someone already has it
this place rocks end of blog
VP closed in both directions again on the day. Must be spring.
Vail Pass westbound. Fucked.
Down to 1 lane due to emergency road work. Probably the near the spot I hit a pothole couple nights ago. Thought for sure I had a blowout, but just a dinged rim.
True enough. But when it gets wetter it just seems to exacerbate the situation. Maybe catches the passer-throughs a bit more off guard because they are coming from a warmer climate and the calendar doesn't make them think of winter right now? I just don't know. I have just come into contact with people that are just a bit befuddled that they can't continue on their merry way and that there is no telling exactly when they might be able to do so. I feel bad for some (trying to catch a flight, etc)...not all.
After a weekend in NYC, I’m reminded I70 is nothing.
Yesterday night driving home from Echo I saw car after car on Westbound I70 between Morrison and the top of that hill pulled over with hazards on, or just stuck in the middle of the road. Guessing most were two-wheel drive with no snow tires. It was just ridiculous.
Just got back to CO after 1.5 years in Brooklyn (which is actually my hometown) for a job that required a lot of driving in and out of the city.
You are 100% correct.

EB closed at VP/Copper/Silverthorne
WB closed at Frisco/Copper/Eisenhower
Vibes to hose in that. Backups exploding outwards.
I know CU is in break now, when is CSU’s?
So glad that when I left Copper today, I turned right.
Vail was a goddamn parking lot tonight.
