Perfect corn at Kirkwood today. High clouds kept the sun affect down. Still good when I left at 2:30. Definitely not t-shirt weather.

Bear Valley was excellent today.
some stoke from my winter tr
squaw season
oh yeah, wheres the footage from the P-Sades the other day? i watched about a bazillion people from the pool. Easy street, sweep, center line, and some others in there. no pics of vid?
i'll be stoked if that's true...
it would suggest that squaw may have finally learned something out about their own mountain...
granite definitely has the worst corn at squaw by a mile and is a complete joke compared to kt and headwall.
if there isn't a day where granite is the only chair running i won't be forced to ride it this season! :)
I nominate Brannen for the Powder Conservation Award. He graciously saves pow by flying over it, leaving the goods for mere mortals.
yah brannen that edit did not suck. thank you, needed some stoke.
Gawdam, it's been snowing here all night and morning!
Next year's KW pass ordered. Now I need to decide between Rose (on the way to work) or Diamond Peak (close by and where the daughter will be skiing).
I'm on call, departing as soon as dhelihiker sends out the batcall. Maybe I'll bump into you some point soon, maybe at a large stratovolcano near you.
I'll be at Alpine this weekend, skiing and packing up the house. I'll be taking it easy, due to a fairly significant muscle tear in my left calf.
some pics from wed and thurs

this past week @ squaw has been pretty sweet, especially tuesday, when headwall and palisades were oh so nice.

schweet pics and vid powdork!
ill be the guy limping around. got 16 punches on my card still, so if anyone is in dire need of a beer. . . . . or look for the really really drunk guy getting run over by the mechanical bull. . . .
Nice, Sweep looked smoooooth. No air? Couldnt tell.
not bad. pretty stoked about this.
i think it's pretty cool that they're posting this in advance... snowbird does this, too.
stoked that they're giving some late season headwall, too.
way awesome to get the mothership spinning until the last day two years in a row!
That random snowboarder in the first pic is definitely powfiend.
Thunder looks pretty awesome from those pics, powdork. I gotta get down there and reap the free tix benefits...
And there is only really 3 days in there that a hike to the Palisades would be work. Nice schedule indeed.
Back in my smoking days, I did enjoy a Granite lift ride or two.
The only time I would miss Granite in spring is during a decent storm. I was there a few years ago, on a May weekend, and Granite was going off, with fresh windblown. The bottom was basically rain. Sometimes those higher elevations work. But I know what you mean by poor corn - too many variable slope directions & trees. Although, the peak would often be a nice hike.
