I'm not buying that Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy are the most searched for classic rock bands in Washington and Oregon, respectively. Both bands have one or two songs that most people would have ever heard. How could they be more popular than the Beatles, Stones or any number of bands with tons of hits? The whole map looks a bit dubious to me.

Fucking ELO for Ohio? :)

Congrats to Oregon for being the only state to have a band with a black band member (as far as I can tell). And I thought Oregon was supposed to be really racist per that other thread!

Lots of times those lists are called “most popular” when really it’s just about which one is searched more than in other states. So Thin Lizzy maybe goes from #23 to #20 or something

There are more empty spaces in that pic than taken ones. Probably the best parking lot in North America to do this.

I've been struck by lightning (indirectly through the water on Norris Lake) and I can certify that it is not amusing.

The Megajillions exercise, to me at least, is the most risky type of gambling I'll consider, and it gives a pretty fun return in the form of slappassery, jokes, automotive and travel dreams and a chance to wonder what if for the 24-48 hours between $1B draws. Absolutely amusing.

Santana had a couple of black members. And the Steve Miller band has had some black members over the years, including the original drummer. And Slash is half black I think, so maybe GNR qualifies? And Billy Preston is, from time to time, the 5th Beatle, so there's that.

You're right, his mom is black. He was also born in the UK which I also didn't realize.

And even if it goes on multiple rounds you're still into it less than the cost of a Chipotle burrito. Plus, if the pool did manage to hit and I wasn't in it I'm not sure how I'd live with myself. Cheap insurance against a lifetime of self-loathing.
