If you had a parent who was a citizen of, say, Botswana, you could potentially qualify for GS in the Olympics or world champs. B rankings allow for tiny countries to send at least somebody to compete; but you'd still have to get, at minimum, sub-140 FIS points from a combined five results. So you'd be DNF-ing backwater FIS races in Montenegro, Kyrgyzstan, Greece, etc., hoping for a few good finishes. FIS and IOC both give money to smaller nations to field teams, but you'd probably still be borrowing suits and skis from larger national pools, and starting 143rd in run 1. So, it's possible. But to actually compete? GTFO.

Actually, I'll never forget Von Hohenlohe from Mexico beat Hirscher, Pinturault, Raich, Mario Matt, etc in the SL at 2015 world champs. Only 46 out of possible 60 (because world champs) finished the 1st run, and he stayed upright for last place, +58 seconds back.

The chimp fight was the one that most stunned me. Those bastards are savage, and yet ‘merkins think they can beat one?

Some countries have some pride. I coached in a program with two girls from Romania who were sub 50 point FIS skiers in the tech disciplines and the best ladies Romania had to offer. IOC qualified them but the Romanian National Federation had a Top 100 in the World requirement. No olympics for them. “We won’t be embarrassed on a world stage” I think was the translation from the rejection letter.

Out of that list, I'm pretty sure I could off the goose - everything else is pretty iffy.

Are we talking regular rats, or serious rats.

Regular NYC rats - unless I got lucky, probably we're at a draw at best.
