Will the parents be charged?
Former Green Beret kills 18 y.o. stepson while teaching firearm safety in their living room, charged with manslaughter: https://www.ksl.com/article/51332113...er-police-say-
So fucking sick of kids at school, in church, just being children, being gunned down by sick assholes with access to assault weapons.
Ban this shit already. You can not convince me, a gun owning person, that your 30 round magazine assault rifle is worth mass killings of children that happen again and again. Go fuck yourselves, your gun fetish allows these horrific massacres of innocents.
if Sandy Hook did not move us as a country to action, I fear nothing will. So in the meantime fuck you, gun fetishists, explain to the parents that lost elementary school children in Minneapolis this morning why your assault rifle is more important than their children and their lives.

I knew we were doomed the week after Sandy Hook when I saw the massive gun dept at Scheels in Reno looking just like a filenes basement during a clearance sale
It's not the guns...but it is the fucking guns you stupid fucking fucks.
Well it's not the guns. But at some point, society is too full of sick fuckos to enjoy access to them. I guess we haven't reached our threshold yet.
Does anyone know what the child killer's pronouns were?
Breivik and Tarrant you bigoted piece of shit.

Birdhunter, What did your mon say to you that that made you a POS bigot? No one has ever asked you to use a pronoun that offended you Karen. I remember when bigots kept their shit talking it to themselves.
Wouldn't it be nice if the bigots, Nazis, homophobes, and all the groups under the bigotry umbrella crawled back under the rock they came from. Or just dropped dead.
We do not hear about them all but according to my google 262 Americans killed in mass shooting in 25 cuz it is an everyday occurrence. It really depends on your search words but it seems like the numbers were down in 24 ?
Americna is a big country with lotsa peaple and it is 1st world whereas I think the 3rd world puts up much higher numbers
I agree with whoever said if you tried to do anything about the now half a billion guns people would just buy more
I can not find numbers for Canada but i a sure we got mass killers but I doubt its 10% of 262 ?
according to Stalin " one death is a tradgedy a million dead is a statistic " now theres a guy who knew how to kill people
rest assured if Stalin was still alive trump would be trying to suck his cock
Yeah, a few for sure.
And hey, I have friends that are gun guys and they're responsible with them. They also advocate for stronger gun laws and think the AR shit is "fun" for them and others, but they think that shit should be banned.
If my skis or mtb caused mass killings of innocent anyone, let alone children, I'd give that shit up in a heartbeat.

Politicians are killing kids, they are implicit in being spineless fucks owned by the NRA and fearful of doing what is right. That's the bottom line.

We've been doing this shit since Columbine, 26 years ago.

Fact
Honestly don't know why people act all surprised and shocked when these things happen. This is America where on any given day you could be gunned down just going about your business.
wow quote function works?
Lol. That is what the fox story about one of the CDC scientists that resigned was. Guy works on pandemic and anthrax and and and... But! oh! He declares his pronouns in his emails, good riddance. What in the actual fuck.
The next health crisis will be managed by incompetent bigots and people will die, but hey, at least they don't declare their pronouns in their emails.
The number of people killed in school shootings, especially mass shootings, is statistically small. The number of deaths by firearm in the US is not, but the mass shootings get a lot more attention. It's also terrifying and heartbreaking that active shooter drills are now a part of life for kids, especially in elementary school.
That said, the number of kids killed by trains while riding in school buses was already statistically tiny, and now school buses stop before crossing the tracks and the driver opens window and door to look and listen for trains before crossing.
The data clearly shows that the American approach to gun ownership is not good for society as a whole, but changing that approach in the current political environment is damn near impossible.
With more guns than people I think we're committed to the path our founders put us on.
Meanwhile 11 people have been killed in car wrecks in Montana in the past couple weeks. Shrug.
If Trump wants a peace prize so badly why doesn't he start with ending the war on the children in his own country
^^^ he is, haven't you seen the raids around the country rounding up brown people? Don't you feel safer with gangs of masked thugs snatching brown people? Why do you hate America?
Complete apples to oranges comparison but so be it:
11-12k deaths per year secondary to drunk driving.
Can we ban alcohol?
I’m completely serious. Thirty years in the ER and it’s a huge part of our every day routine. Drunk after drunk. Alcohol related violence, deaths, illness, dysfunction. I’d argue the net negative effects on society probably eclipse gun issues. Nobody gives a fuck.
People like their booze as much or more than their guns. And it’s bipartisan.

Um, we tried that already and it didn’t work out very well
We don’t ban alcohol currently but holy fuck are there a lot of regulations around it. Most places you can’t drink in public, but you can carry an AR around with no issues. Beer brewers have to get government approval for names of beer and the package design. Maybe do away with all the gun advertising targeting kids to be more masculine and carry a gun everywhere. I think we would be in better position as a society if we regulated guns as much as alcohol. Current trajectory is removing any regulations for gun ownership.
We tried “banning” guns, too. We should keep trying. Kids dying sucks.
When the conversation switches to alcohol, people dig their heels in.
There are regulations against alcohol, they don’t work.

WE’VE TRIED NOTHING AND WE ARE ALL OUT OF IDEAS!

If you wank around the gun death thing on google the stats are interesting and there are definalty worse places than America in the 3rd world but for the 1st world America kills it by a huge margin
And globally, I think the U.S. is actually not that bad in terms of alcohol related deaths. I think we're relatively high in DUI type deaths, but that's somewhat logical based on our car based society and relative (to Europe) lack of public transportation. Not saying there isn't room for improvement, but for these sort of discussions, I always look at how we stack up against the rest of the world. Alcohol: we're average. Guns: we're thoroughly above average.
I mean the only difference is intent. Lunatics buy guns with the intent to kill. A lot of normal people make mistakes with alcohol and kill people on the way home.
How many of us have driven intoxicated? I’d wager greater than 90%.
How many drink at the bar after skiing then drive down a twisty canyon over the legal limit?
If you did a breathalyzer on any bar, how many driving patrons would be over the legal limit?
The threshold for bad decisions that kill people with alcohol is pretty low, and socially acceptable.

Since you brought it up - they should ban alcohol commercial on TV like they did cigarettes
