Next valley down from Hinter Rendl. You ski down the backside from Riffl 2 then tour up the opposing ridge and ski into the next basin. It spits you out by M Preis. There is still lots of room and excellent, fluffy snow if you're willing to do a little walking.Quote:

wildstyle, I think Hayduke is there that week. I'm only arriving for Gordy's camp on the 22nd. Train07 also said on another thread he'd be there, can't remember if it was that week or the previous one though.
And of course there's the Chamonix-based assortment of maggots: Idris, flingle (that's his handle isn't it?), bbirtle, etc.
I'll be around in Cham that week. I was thinking of heading to Ste Foy & Val D'Isere for a day as well. I'll pm you my mobile....

Monday spent in Alpe dHuez. Good fresh tracks firstly in resort down Sarenne; then afternoon off the back of Pic Blanc down to small village think it was Clavans fresh tracks ,ost of th way; few rock hits but not too bad. Mostly soft week old powder; very occasional sun crust: excellent:
Today tuesday 2 alpes: to St Cristophe: guide said he had rarely seen it in such good condition for this time of year.
So if you read in conjunction with my LG report - its mixed but if you stay off the beaten track and know where to go theres good stuff to be had: latest forecast is for change in the weather on Sunday:
