From what I'm reading in these pinned posts, it seems like there's some sort of comment minimum before you can post to the gear swap. Seems to me like this does nothing but encourage spam. What about charging $1? I totally see having some barrier to entry.

Also, the minimum comment threshold isn't discoverable. It would make sense to me for the action to be disabled with a notice that said something like "must be a more active forum user" or something.

What is the post minimum? 5 or 6 posts?
