After the Hui, led by Vince (surfing legend Gerry Lopez), take his stuff, he fortuitously runs into Turtle (John Philbin). Turtle introduces him to Chandler (Gregory Harrison), a shaper and soul surfer

Mo' betta you go now!
"When the wave breaks here, don't be there, or you're gonna get drilled..."
Peel: The Peru Project i thought was pretty decent. Its by Wes Brown the grandson of the original Bruce Brown (endless summer, etc.)
Osiris's Out of Order is a good flick.
BIG Wednesday
My kids started with "Surf's Up".
I've now got them onto what they call The-Real-Surf's-Up...
You know:
Cody = Rick
Chicken Joe = Turtle
Big Z = Chandler
Lani = Liana
Tank = Burkhart
A few dozen more times through The-Real-Surf's-Up and they will be ready for The September Sessions.
5'9'' by 19 1/4 was sick... lots of "shiny" moves being thrown down... September Sessions was money as well. A favorite was also a movie with K.Slater and crew on the quicksilver boat in the South Pacific... slightly older but probably my favorite. Ill try and dig it out tonight...
Surf's up!! Bar none, the best.
Endless Summer 2? Seriously? Plenty of shortboard vids that rip this garbage up. The OG ES, an entirely diff story. Super racy/condescending angle....being good africans, they threw a few rocks, shiniest skiin on the block,...all that dick shit as well as the super funny inaccurate references - priceless.
second thoughts has really good footage with a good story although i get the feeling that timmy turner has done one to many drugs in his day
has anyone seen unsalted?
anyone ever see Seadreams by Kurt Mastakla and Yuri Farrant, it starts with Rory Russell dropping in at big Pipe and flashes "the beginning of the end, then proceeds as the first 16mm film with only island surf Santana's Abraxis album is the sound track and the film ends with the flash"the end of the beginning," and finishes Rory's giant tube ride. best one i ever saw from back then around 70 or 71.
How the fuck has nobody mentoned SIPPING JETSTREAMS yet?? This is easily my favorite movie.
There are so many good surf films it's ridiculous, it really depends on who you like to watch. I like Occy so I enjoyed the Occumentary. Billabong's SOLID is all shot at chopes which is sick, if a little repetitive.
This is from Lost's "What's Really Going On"- one of my favorite segments of all time. Curren is the master.
Fuck, I can't seem to embed it. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0pTxX7_55Q
Other than that, I like:
Bruce Movie
Lost On the Road
YG2
Trilogy(?)
Occumentary
Magna Plasm (old Volcom film)
September Sessions
3 pages and not a single mention of "Point Break"?????
you guys are all Kooks
Seriously, though...Big Wednesday, Endless Summer 1&2, Step into Liquid, and Riding Giants and you're set...
Oh, and if you catch the weather channel's "Epic Conditions" - the one they did about Maverick's - that was good, too...

"In God's Hands" is a must own, too.
I'll second Step Into Liquid. Any movie that has surfing in WI is pretty sweet in my book!
On that note, I'll second the Doutchyness of Step Into Liquid.
Although it is not out yet, I going to go out on a limb and say "The Drifter" will be sweet.
Big Wednesday - and you have to chug a beer every time they say "Massochist"
That and the entire Bruce Brown Library
Gidget goes down on Tubesteak!
