The phils couldn't win the season series, what makes you think they'll beat the hottest team in baseball.

Exactly why I was enjoying that game so much last night. I don't give a flying fig about the Rockies or the Padres, but after having been to that game with Griffey rounding third and sliding into home, I could understand the feeling that Rockies fans were experiencing. Awesome game, too bad he was out at home;)
honestly...this phils-rocks series should be the NLCS...too bad it's only a 5-gamer 'cause it's gonna be damn good.
(philly fan living in CO)
They might as well just give the world series to the sox and the super bowl to the pats and call it a year.
The Monforts and O'Dowd could discover cold fusion, a cure for cancer, the antidote for global warming, and sign A-Rod for $10 and they would still be idiots. But mad props to Hurdle and the team, who did this in spite of the ownership group.
I will be in Section 140, Row 16 for the next few weekends. Hell yeah!!!!
Its going to be a good snow year, because hell must have just frozen over. The Rockies are in the playoffs and the Mets got bounced.
That's a pretty dumb assumption, considering four out of the past five World Series were won by a wild card team. St. Louis barely made it in last year and won it, so it's really kind of a crap shoot, especially in the short first series.Quote:

go rox.
go sox.
that is all.
Looks like just about every playoff game or possible playoff game at Coors is sold out. This is going to be a hell of a week (and hopefully month) for the Rox.
I can't wait til Saturday night- I'll be in Sect. 145, row 24. :)
Smmokan - we should definitely do some sort of pre-game on Saturday.
Sat - 205, Row 4
Sun - 207, Row 1 (if it goes that far)
i will be there saturday, i cant remember what seats, i know there were the $75 price level though
I hope they make the nlcs. I got 4 tix 2nd row in the right field corner. Haven't sat over that way in Coors before, should be a pretty cool view I think.
I'll be there sunday sec#143 row 6
GO ROCKIES
Wow that's awesome all of you got tickets...how did they go on sale? (First come First Serve, Lottery, etc...)
If that was Boston you would have blinked and fall the tickets all the way through the playoffs would be sold out.
Got 'em as soon as they went on sale online. Remember- Coors Field holds 50,000 instead of 33,000 like Fenway, and there aren't nearly as many people in this town. I got mine before they won the play-in game as well.
You basically buy tickets before they are even in the playoffs and then if they don't make it the Rockies mail you a refund check in 6 weeks or so.
I figured if they made the playoffs I could sell my extras and essentially see some free playoff baseball. If they didn't make it, I would apply the refund to a pair of Wailers. The mind can justify anything - well, my mind, at least!
I got my tickets on the Rockies website on Monday some time in the afternoon.
Saturday's game starts at 7:30 PM.
Rox up 3-0, bottom of the 2nd! GO ROCKIES!!!!!!!!!!!
[1st Wings regular season game in 3 hours :D]
Good god phillies...let's get something going here...a little bingo. They are making francis look like greg maddux in his prime. They are just way a head of everything.
Nice homerun from the 2007 NL MVP.
FUCK YOU TOM GORDON.
My dad hates you for blowing the ACLS against the Red Sox when you were a yankee and now I can't stand you for throwing that meatball to the most dangerous hitter on the other team.
Why do you leave gordon in? Why?
Ughhh...i see where this series is going.
Nice key at-bats by Rollins and Utley with a man on in the 8th. lol
When I say "Rocky" you say "Dog"
Rocky!
Rox 4-2 bottom of 9th, Phils got a man on 1st......nail biting...
Yeah Rockies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nice win for the rockies:cool:
BRING IT!

GO ROCKIES!!!!
Such a sweet game. The announcers kept sayin how great Hamels last start was, they failed to mention that it was against the nationals though. TBS' coverage has seemed a bit biased against the Rockies so far, kind of irritating. They have only won 14 of the last 15 games to finis the season, something no team in baseball history has done.
A little biased, you think? :) Did you hear the Sox-Angels announcers? If you just had the audio and couldn't see who was playing, you'd think that the Red Sox were playing in an intersquad scrimmage.
Of course, the way the Angels' "hitters" were swinging the bat, they may as well have.
