Those pagans knew how to do it. Too bad they were slaughtered/oppressed by Christians. Nice people , them...Quote:

Ullr, a.k.a. Uller, Ullin, Holler, Vulder, and Ull, is a pre-Viking era Nordic God and he kept fine company with the likes of Odin, Thor, and other esteemed deities. Among his many skills, he was the god of skiing, archery, hunting, and was known to be quite promiscuous (which he may have inherited from his mother Sif, the Goddess of Fertility).

Never, and that is a good thing. Fighting in the name of religion is wrong. It is, in fact, one of the many problems I have with the church. I don't feel the church, or anyone else, has the right to push their beliefs on anyone, however they do have the right to share said beliefs with anyone that wants to listen. I have a problem with people who try to take away those rights. I understand it is annoying when people coming to your door trying to convert you, or when someone stands on a soapbox on the street corner spouting fire and brimstone, but if you don't want to hear it all you have to do is ignore it.Quote:

If they come at you with guns and demand that you listen, then you have a right to take up arms against them, and I will be right next to you defending your right to believe what you want. But when was the last time that happened in this country?
Wow, whoda thunk a topic like this would provoke arguments?

i am catholic and proud of being one. but i will not down grade others because of what there beliefs are. believe what you want, and be faithful to that religion of yous. do not follow what the other person says and what he or she preaches to you as being the almighty belief.
we are all here for the same reasons, and that is skiing and livnig the life. i will not preach to all of you, but do you have to hate someone because of there religion? no, of course not, we are all humans and we live, ski, breath, and be happy.
not to get too far off the subject but when a tradgedy occurs, many times you'll hear it said by a survivor that by the grace of god they were spared...this really bothers me.....were others not worthy of the "grace of god"?
Totally unstokable i know, but thought i'd throw it out there.
How bout them Red Sox, eh?
