Ah ha, Monsiour Moollette, I see what the score is. You were envious of my gnar battlescar in Chamonix and thought you'd go one better. The moral: try to out-gnar Mrs Gnar and things get nasty
Poor you. You're unrecognisable in the 'post-stitch up' pictures. Is Marina mopping your brow and feeding you liquidised steak through a straw?
Why have Jack In The Box not jumped all over this?Quote:

Seriously though, sorry about the carnage man, but glad you aren't too jacked over. Hope you can still salvage some good times out of your trip.
That doesnt look like it felt too hot. Must have been all that wide open skiing the day before that had you looking for trees yesterday.... Sorry to hear about it, but if you are up for it, looks like a pow day in Utah again tommorrow. Let me know, you know how to reach me :)
Holy Geez. Much more gnar than expected. Hope all goes well with the recovery mulletman.
Wow, +++ to all. I want a Tri-U to ski with: he'll show you the local goods, document disaster, and help pick up the pieces all in one nice package.
Mulletizer, hope you heal good. Beer vs. meds is a tough choice for anyone to make.
Didn't realize trees were on the menu when I read this thread title.
Sorry to hear about the injury and the pain, but stoked to hear you're gonna be fine and are in good spirits (even more stoked on the sequence shot - good work tri-ung).
Sick and ashamed and happy (and how does this effect your "posh" status?),
d.
This is by far one of the best trip reports ever.
Edit fer: like maybe top 10..........for me at least.
sweet jesus man. Glad you are ok, sounds fricking gnarible. Facial lacerations suck, mophine good. Hope you continue to kill it on your US North American tour.
Jesus, man. Didn't see that coming. Glad you're ok...
(pizzage tizzop!)
Damn al, glad you came out of this as well as you did!
If you need a place to recuperate before heading to WB, the guest suite at casa de natty is available, you can stay as long as you need to. 3 hour drive to seattle, 7 to whistler from here.
I think there's a moral to this story : abandon tele and you get fucked in the face ;)
Get better!

My sentiments exactly!Quote:

Al - you are a total pussy.
Why, I was scythed in the face with a spatula & repaired with nothing more than sticky tape. Don't think me ungrateful, but did you hear me complaining?
I am beginning to suspect that you are not the 'Man of Metal' you have portrayed yourself as thusfar.
Wow thats some carnage.
Heal up quick.
Bummer Al, I was looking forward to meeting you in Seattle. Heal up quick. Tree 1, Mulllet 0.
Thanks for the thoughts guys and offers to help out. We are well insured; Snowcard have guaranteed to pay all my treatment but probably won't cover the extra airfare (luckily not too much). Brownmonkey: I'm going to bitchslap you next time I see you, you great pussy. That's the last time you get a plaster from my first aid kit. ;)
So, I let the tree go. I don't want more trees jumping out in front of me as karmic revenge for cutting down their cousin. Our flight to Seattle is rearranged for tomorrow so we should be able to take in some of the summit, albeit at a gentler pace than planned. Feeling a little woozy but looking forward to getting onto the sticks ASAP. And I've quite enjoyed the pictures too. Tonight I'll do without the pain meds; the beer is calling me louder. :D
do the beer and the meds
now wait..that's not good advice is it?....sorry you got banged up man
That's the first time I've seen "exposed mandible" in a TR. Nice work! Maybe going a little overboard in working for the great trip story.
"So Mulletizer how was the trip?"
"Uneventful really. Shredded the gnar, shredded some face, got hooked up with a little morphine. Same old same old."
Looks like you're really gonna need that $100 worth of Reno whores I owe you now :biggrin:Quote:

Heal up quick and enjoy WA. And if you're not up for skiing, quality time with a bunch of maggots should do ya good.
I know that I'm a little late to the party, but glad you're (somewhat) OK Mullitzer
One thing I don't really understand though, beer OR meds? I thought they worked even better in conjunction with eachother?!?
It works fine as long as you don't care about your liver.Quote:
