In order to still be a part of this community while minimizing their impact on you, you have to think before you log in. Does the following really seem like a logical thought process to you:
"I don't want anyone at all to spoil the Olympic skiing results for me, so I will try my absolute hardest to prevent anyone from talking about it around me. Hmm... I wonder what people are talking about on the skiing forum?"
And these are the same people who go on and on about personal responsibility. I have only seen one person say that they are angry because someone posted it and they were dumb enough to look. Everyone else is just angry because someone was inconsiderate enough to post it.
