this TR is good fuel for the yurp side of the yurp vs usa debate. what TR from these states with crap snow can come across as epic as this? yeah, the snow may suck, but everything else doesnt. and just imagine how epic it is when the snow is dumping!

This shot astounds me. I was in the Vallee Blanche the week before and there was A LOT more snow in the couloir poubelle then. It just shows how damaging the dreaded Foen wind was. Our guide told us it was hot and dry which serves to literally scour the snow off the high areas. Bummer.

see 666, now you know why i'll never shut up about my trip over there 5 years ago...it's epic. you got to see more of the scenery though, when i was there it snowed 6 days straight...so we got great pow, but didn't see anything until the final day when it cleared up for us to ski the vallee blanche. and we were some of those unroped gapers going down from the aiguille de midi.

Yeah, good times were had indeed. The only problem is that place ruined me. Ruined me in the sense that everything will now seem so small in comparison.
What I got out of the trip?...Str8line told me to use my poles more and to not lean into my turns. He also said I had nice legs....which is a little wierd since he's married with kids.
