FIX THE FUCKING FORUMS OR LET US MIGRATE THE DATA

I emailed earlier this afternoon and got a VERY fast and informative response that shows they are working on it and still care:

"Summit, thanks for reaching out, and thanks for being a loyal forums user. We have been dealing with quite a few forums issues over the last year plus, and have been doing what we can to keep it going - but we know that the aging tech has caused for a serious decline in user experience.

We are dealing with a significant server issue this week and last and it will be another 5-7 days before that is fixed. That will help a bit, but we know it isn’t the full answer.

The good news is that we started a replatforming process a few weeks back that will dramatically improve the experience, but the bad news is that it will take us until August to have the new experience up and running.

I hope we can keep you in the mix until then, and please do spread the word. Reach back if you have any other questions or concerns.

And again, thanks for being with TGR so long and we hope the new platform stokes you out come this fall.

Good News! I got a “504” error once instead of just the “502!!!!” That must mean things are improving!!!

The real deadline for me is when next ski season starts this Fall (or at least when the hype starts). The ski forum is still my ride or die.

On a whim I tried and got into the site. That does not seem to be a feature, but a glitch.

site seems somewhat functioning this am, as pages are loading in a somewhat normal amount of time with consistency.

Yesterday I thought it was over. Clicked the bookmark out of habit this AM and it surprised me to see it load. What was the FB page people talked about as an emergency backup? And what other forums do people read and participate in? I need something to read (and the news ain't cutting it).
