I was referring to the city e-rental bikes that sit in piles on every street corner.
I thought killing a healthcare CEO would require a wooden stake. Maybe the shooter used silver bullets?
Yup UHC is pretty much hated around here by customers and providers alike.
I don’t think this was a pro kill job. Poor place to do it, bad weapon, no head shot to make sure.
Unless somebody was trying to do this on a budget or had no idea how to go about hiring a hitter…
Pre-authorization to keep living has been rescinded.
The days of Guillotines will make a revival. Oligarchs and Captains of Industry heads rolling, coming to a city near you.
Yes, this. And as others have said, vigilantism isn't a welcome direction for our society to take. Having said that...
I have a feeling people in power will start to take rampant gun violence seriously when CEOs start finding themselves substantially more at risk than minorities and school kids.
"In June 2024, Elevance Health, the corporate name for Anthem, reported a 24.12% increase in its year-over-year net income to $2.3 billion, and a 24.29% increase in its year-over-year net profit margin."
I wonder how many people have died prematurely due to UHC being scumbags?
I had to threaten to sue them a few years ago over a knee replacement.
They actually clawed back $30k that they had already paid out, months prior. With no communication.
Turns out that they had multiple phone conversations where they pre-approved everything, but it took a call to an aquaintance at the Colorado Insurance Fraud Department to get an almost immediate reversal.
But it still took a year, and many, many, many stressful hours of bullshit.
E Bikers are next
Are the Murdochs, Musk, Harlan Crow, Adelsons, Sacklers, etc next?
The video says pro assassination
Calm. Collected. Deliberate. Silencer.
Then again it looks like he had bare hands. If you dress in black with a black mask why not wear black nitrile gloves in case you have to ditch the weapon.
The backpack clearly has change of clothes to blend in.
Thinking pissed off ex military. A pro would wear gloves.
Sad. Fuck healthcare. But this was a human being b
Nothing to worry about. Based on recent elections, the general opinion on extreme wealth disparity remains the same or slightly more favorable. The beatings will continue until morale improves. Maybe we can have guillotines once the Overton Window shifts such that Bernie is an ultra rightwinger. Meantime I'm enjoying a few laughs.
This was taken down on state sponsored "free speech" media, but it is still up here:

Disturbing and I think we’re going to see a lot more people revolting like this in the coming years. Everyone’s fucking had it.
Used to work right there in midtown. Crazy to think about that happening in broad daylight there. Not far north from the Rock Center Xmas tree lighting going on right now.
The guy shot the CEO, biked a few blocks north to Central Park to evade surveillance, ditched the bike and changed clothes in a hiding spot and waltzed out. Not sure how the fuck you find someone after that.
Yeah it’s like Breaking Bad where some guy with a terminal illness and nothing to lose becomes a vigilante for society and the first target on his list is the company that denied him life saving treatment while raking in billions for its shareholders and CEO.
I’d watch it.
I guess someone got justice against UHC. Pretty wild that they got away.
I doubt anything changes except that Fortune 500 companies will more widely andopt executive protection policies.
The next CEO of UHC will have armed private security everywhere they go.
Gotham. Like a Batman movie.
We need a hot-as shit, smart, sassy redhead nurse, who falls in love with a hapless patient, to be the love interest. She will get him back on his feet, and give him a new life, and sense of purpose.
There will also be a high speed chase in San Francisco, for some unrelated reason.
Dang I downloaded the vid but deleted the download cuz it was everywhere. Somebody really wants it scrubbed for some reason
These execs are all being investigated for selling off millions of dollars in stocks, then he gets executed. Criminal greed at the expense of humanity.
Where the usual suspects brush aside health insurance industry profiteering? Unpopular opinion all the sudden?
This. It will be spun into c-suite benefits and nothing will be learned.
"When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich."
I watched a movie last winter on the trainer that was exactly this: retired military guy's wife gets cancer, insurance denied the claim, he goes to kill the CEO in revenge, accompanied by his martial-arts-trained daughter. Can't remember what it was called though. I'd say life imitates art, but I'm not sure this movie qualified as art
Is this a one and done? Or is this guy just starting down a list?
I’ve long thought the serial killers have pivoted to doing mass shootings. Maybe they will pivot to taking out Healthcare and oil company ceos and their attorneys.
Who would acquit if they’re on the jury? If this guy does get caught the trial might be interesting.
Healthcare execs are a helluva lot more evil than oil execs in my book. Oil companies just give us what we want to continue living our consumptive lives. Health insurance companies take your money every month (and lots of it), then want to abandon you when you actually need what you pay for. Fucking HATE the health insurance system in this country.
