Skiers and snowboarders who own a valid 2024-25 winter resort season pass ANYWHERE in the world can come to 'The Big One' and receive a very special rate. First 3 weeks and last 4 weeks of winter... which can be excellent skiing some seasons.
A few seasons they extended it a few more weeks. That really exacerbated crowds, so they reeled it in after a few seasons.
And changed the buddy passes from half off to 25% off a coupla seasons ago. That just made them almost valueless. Travel and pay for a $200+ daily ticket @ half off? OK.
25% off? not so much.

So I'm starting to get a lot of input regarding incoming mags and I'm beginning to think maybe a Jackson Summit could be in order.
Any thoughts from locals and incoming are requested!
I'm thinking a week in January or February. Ski weekdays for peeps avoiding weekends and a weekend event for those who can only spare a day or three.
Piggy back on beaver summit. Beav is tue wed Thu, make JH Thu Fri Sat.
Would be double rad.

My Arapahoe Basin pass got me 50% off last year. Still pricey for JH but GT was pretty affordable. I think it is passes at any mountain on the MC gets 50% off tix at other MC resorts, which can be a pretty good deal. I just got the MC this year because I hope I'll be able to use it more.
Aha, I'd forgotten about that little tidbit. Getting a 50% break at any MC resort if your season pass IS an MC resort.
FKNA, Now I can go ski at Sun Valley for 1/2 off.
So discount ticket options are the 50% MC angle above/anytime, or 50% off during Golden Ticket (Wonka) season, or a 25% off buddy pass/anytime.

Checking in as I'll be making the pilgrimage from Seattle to spend the final days of the year at Jackson Hole.
Fun fact, my first time on a mountain to slide on snow was at JH. Freshman year of college my friends invited me to go and with a newfound sense of freedom and student loans, I borrowed all the ragtag gear I could and jumped in a beat up outback for 15 hours. My friends took me up the tram and all but my best mate and his girl took off while I tried to figure out how to strap a snowboard to my boots. I think I got 3 runs in that day.
Needless to say I'm excited to make my triumphant return and rewrite my JH experience.

I knew a guy back in school that was rapidly failing out but got one student loan deposit before the shit hit the fan. He decided to forego that semester and invest the $1400.
It's 1984, mind you.
He bought an Uzi, and a QP of weed.
So we smoked for weeks. One night he lit up the alley for a few seconds with the Uzi. Cops didn't even show up. Richmond was a tuff town back then.
Ski ya in the spring eSock. Golden tickets then too.

Most chill opening day in a long time at the Ghee.
I left home after nine and still was able to park close in.
Snow is alright.
Good fun and a nice start.
Scored 3rd Chair this am - the Grom decided late last night he really wanted to head up and try to get 1st chair. How could I say No.... we arrived just before 6 this am and we missed it by ~15 mins. Oh well - amazing turns were had and we had a blast. We squeezed in 4-5 great laps together before heading down to work and he's still up there as of right now. Love where you Live! Le Tits Now
