My friend has one which I've driven a bunch. It's silly, and the brakes definitely can not keep up with the powerplant.

Yeah, that's it alright. Sharp looking British sports car, but fell way short of the Cobra (even though Carroll Shelby was involved). And it was the same story for me. I was into MGs and Minis, so I had a lot of "British Car Club" friends - one of whom owned two Sunbeams: an Alpine and a Tiger.
I’m no engineer— but that looks like a lot of work to make a straight axle try to compete with independent suspension.
Is this “2024 Hydraulics” on steroids and I’m just dumb?
Hilarious to see a truck with a 3ft lift that only has 8 inches of ground clearance.
Oh— and they wrote White Chicano Privilege wrong.
This was outside OCC Roadhouse, which is Sr's spot here in Pinellas Park. They have a huge outdoor entertainment area and restaurant. This is Truck and Jeep night and they do a line dancing live event that night too. I am never surprised at the stuff I see there.
Here is another one- Rollin' Copper

These guys do some work on my trucks. Good guys, but their taste is a bit different than mine. They do great work though.
Countach. The kid was losing his mind.

Just now at the trailhead.
Ridiculous.
Mid 50s Chevy truck. The pic doesn’t do the paint justice. Had a cammed-up newer V8.

Do those tires actually have air in them? [the blue truck upthread]
Attachment 500367I grew up with a red 67 in the driveway
Yesterday I saw a Ranger bass boat with a custom red white blue sparkle paint job with matching trailer & huge outboard. Unlike most trailers which are basically just rails, this had an aero cowling that was shaped to marry up to the boat and had the same sparkle RWB colors. It was bleeding ‘Merca
No pic unfortunately
That's a pretty shiny MGA to be out in the wild.

Sorta qualifies- I rented this truck for a few days for a quick golf trip needed a ton of space for 3 guys with gear and felt like something new for a change. Ok

1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I - check out the round door.
"An unlikely combination of extravagant European coachwork on a conservative British chassis, the car began as a 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I, and in 1934 it received a unique body built by Jonckheere of Belgium."

didn't care for that one. felt like driving a tank to me. much bigger than it needs to be. open that hood and there's 'bout 3 feet of dead space before you even get to the radiator!
don't get me started on that ridiculously tiny bed...barely fits a pair of 196 skis, hope ya don't have anything longer in the quiver.
fact.
But it accomplished it's suburban duties in fine fashion. 3 men, golf gear and probably a case or 2 of UC. #notatruck
eggzactly!

Well, we could go back to this... Maximum bed + minimum wheelbase + instant death...Attachment 500492
Estro Dozer. The extra weird part is that the owner is a mid-30s frumpy emo gal with a bunch of face piercings. You're guess is as good as mine for what's in the toolbox. This thing is parked at a downtown office tower five days a week.

Hello kitty punisher for maximum wtf
People are so fucking strange.
The bed is actually 1.5" longer on that 4th gen Tacoma compared to the 3rd gen short bed. Still ridiculously short though. Longest skis you could put back there without going diagonal is about 150cm. Corner to corner is over 200cm, but the wheel wells get in the way.
Hood length is the same on 3rd and 4th gens, but the 4th is taller.
