Any good suggestions for a 98-100mm underfoot deal? I bought bent 100 and bent 115s last year and wasn’t too stoked on the 100…turning it into a touring ski. The 115s are amazing.

G3 has been a challenging compay to deal with on the CSR side....Though I have liked the gear for many years
Didnt know they were still in business…
Their Targas were the best worst tele binding i ever had.
I actually never had issues with their skins. Not sure why. But i randomly still have two pair. Not sure exactly where they came from.
Shovels? Didnt they make lexan blade shovels? Thats all I remember.
I hope this isnt a trend line the bike industry but who knows anymore?
it was Life-Link that made Lexan shovels - they still might - we called them kitty litter shovels - still the only item I ever have won in a raffle in 30 years of outdoor raffles
I spiral fractured my ti/fib 6th day out on Targas, got spooked switched to 7TM, sold the Targas to a buddy who was not an agressive skier, still he broke the toe bar on both but G3 warrantied them
once you reglue the skins with goldlabel they are fine IME, trim them with a box cutter which you can then use ... to cut boxes
I think its the post covid shutdown blues, companies that were limping along on the edge were pushed over the edge, from my entry in the repair appliance fiasco the repair guy told me all kinds of small companies just dissapeared so as a result the parts quality has never been worse SO now is not the time to buy appliances if yours work
Back in the day I really wanted to buy a pair of “The Reverends.”
But my buddy, who just happened to be black, said “if you buy that ski I am going to punch you in the face until you cry and black out.”
Never bought the ski…
so their site is working again for orders, had some good deals. I ordered some skins. They fucked up my order (sent me ski skins, not the split board skins I ordered). Have not been responding to any emails and their phone is disconnected. It's only been a week, but I looked on their instagram and there are a few comments with people in the same boat for over 2 weeks. Beware.
They got purchased by Canada Wide Sports to get them out of receivership. Tomorrow I'll try to call CWS: 1-877-438-6264
Got some of their all carbon adjustable poles in May, upper shaft broke on 3rd day, their CS responded pretty quickly to the email form & apparently is sending a replacement this week.
Promising they responded, hope they come through for you
Could be that Canadian CS is slammed because postal workers been on strike for weeks, but could have at least acknowledge my request. Just nothing from them.
Received their promo emails tho. :/
Rounding out my saga with G3:
After calling their parent company who gave me a direct phone number, where I left a message. I was later instagram DMed an email of a G3 employee who resolved my issue. Following this run around they made good on their mistake, sent me the correct splitboard skins I ordered and told me I could keep the ski skins they sent me by mistake (second time in my life I have been sent free ski skins by G3!).
That being the case, I have a pair of G3 ski skins that I don't need and none of my ski friends are in need. Willing to let them go for shipping to a mag in need.
New in Box
Craft Universal ski skins
100mm width
M length (168 to 184)
Any takers?
lol turns out Cameron was the CS guy who was shipping it out supposedly ;). I wrote him again.
