Anyone gotten out on their C113s yet?
Anyone gotten out on their C113s yet?
Hey ASP!
Buster had the first order in the queue and received his pair, as the sample is unchanged from production on them… but that is the only pair for another few weeks!
I'll aggregate my fecal matter with regard to bindings shortly...

Damn those look good. Really trying to not just put these on a CC and worry about it later.....
I'm in for FL113's. I can't justify the FR132... but i'm trying
Hey Marshal,
Regarding the FL113, will the trim color on these be close to gold, or more orange-yellowish? Pics I've seen this far are either or. Picky I know, but trying to figure if going with matching or contrasting colors for the binders... Or just go black... or red..! Cheers!
Who's skied these so far? Close to pulling the trigger but damn it's not an ideal time to buy anything.
I think we’ve all been waiting for this information

Go for the gold, it'll match your outfit

^^^if that's yer outfit, gold would look outta place. Try again hotshot.
Yeah man! It is defiantly more of a yellow/orange, not a pure gold. I’ll personally be going for contrast.
Good to know, thanks:
Oh, and FWIW, I am putting Black RD20 bindings on my 194s and Raw ones on my 187s.
Finally got a chance to ski my FL113 yesterday. Still recovering from shoulder surgery and taking it easy, but was able to put a good amount of energy into the ski and open up the speeds a bit. Great snow, windbuff everywhere.
Conclusion... holy crap the construction of this ski is rad. So smooth, but still responsive and poppy. Very rewarding snowfeel for fast skiers on big mountains.
And good news everyone... skis are through finishing and QC, and should be shipping in the next couple days via air carrier (Fedex Global). I will follow up via email as soon as I have an expected delivery date. Cheers!!!!
Hells yes. Welcome to the congregation!

I'm having analysis paralysis on bindings.
I really want to put touring bindings on them since they're so light, but the $600+ costs are driving me back to some p14s or something.
cast is what you seek, buster.
Is there a way to have something similar to cast but be able to ski downhill on the tech binding? For example, I'm interested in the C113 for untracked resort days and for backcountry. Would love to be able to ski it with my alpine setup as well as my AT setup - is that possible without too much hassle? I'm coming from they world of tele so still learning the nuances of the fixed heel world. Else I'm thinking I would just put on an AT setup that I felt comfortable skiing at resorts on.
(As far as I can tell, the cast tech binding is not able to be used for the downhill).

Tecton
Duke?

I would rather ski the duke pt then a tecton for downhill but the weight difference is huge. But that’s probably what you want as long as you don’t care about weight. And do you have pin holes on your alpine boots, you are running a 50/50 boot correct?
the duke Pt will accept all soles.
I don't have pin holes on my Alpine boots. I didn't think about it much when I bought them and wanted high-performance boots for resort days (I assume high-performance boots don't normally have pin holes? I guess I should have thought about that more...). I do care about weight a little, but I'll check out both the Duke and the Tecton - thanks all.
I guess the other option is to buy the C113 for touring and the R120 for resort pow days... :D
Buy my R120’s!

Marshal, how do you think the R99 stacks up to the old Legend Pros?

Sorry if this was already covered
I’m intrigued to hear more feedback on the 113 shape and how it compares to other long radius traditionally mounted powder chargers. I think I’m in the market but apprehensive about the flat/reverse camber. I’ve never quite been able to adapt to that profile.
There are some apt comparisons in the appropriate thread.
Does $415 produce a better essence?

I was very lucky to ski the 187 C113 today. I generally prefer skis with minimal sidecut and little/no camber, so these were already right up my alley. You can go straight if you want, shut it down easily, and ski with your weight forwards or backwards. They are the longest skis I have ever used, and I am a wuss who normally skis <175cm skis but these did not feel uncomfortably long, even though I was using 1200g Skorpius boots. I've only spent a day on the BMT 109s but they are the most similar skis I have used to these. My main ski right now is the newer Dynafit Beast 108 and these are just so much better. As others have said in other threads, the Beast has a seesaw/rockinghorse type feeling that I take as an acceptable tradeoff for their excellent agility and predictability in different snow types, but these have all the positive qualities of the Beast while also feeling super planted and not seesaw-like at all. The snow was excellent today so not the best testing conditions but I wanted to share because I imagine not many others have had the privilege to try these yet.
I think the AM is pretty close to my 187 OG LPRs.

Dude, this warms my heart! They even look as badass as we wanted them to be, and that's saying quite a bit!
MO told me my skis are being shipped today. I'm kinda psyched.

I am in the same camp. I love the design, but I think the 187cm would be too long for me. I skied the BMT 109 in the 186cm length and sold it because it was too long for me. If the C113 has a similar flex pattern as the BMT 109, I would likely buy a ~177cm version of the C113.
