Good toy and very entertaining. To stimulate their creativity you could also play chess, if you don't have a physical board you can use one online. Right now I don't remember what website I used to play chess online with my friends, but if anyone knows of one that says it.

I'm tempted to get back into the 1:10 scale rc stuff and see things have really changed. Was originally planning on a retro old-school car like I had ages ago but see how far things have gone and am overwhelmed with the choices. And I shouldn't be surprised but it seems this has been a popular hobby with our recent events that finding things in stock can be a challenge. What I'm looking forward to the most is the building and upgrading aspects.
So in the meantime I grabbed a Team Associated TR28 - tiny little cheap (relatively lol) 1:28 carpet ripper. Pretty damn fun, and I've been building ramps and walls to hit around the house. Wife has been quite patient, of course it's only been one day lol. Cat is unimpressed, I thought she would be on board.
Looking at the Tamiya and Kyosho sites the other night, they've re-released some classic kits which is cool to see.
Thalela, sorry. I thought the can launcher was pretty funny, on topic, and of the same vein of similar fun projectile things to share with kids like potato guns, catapults, and modified model rockets. These things are my idea of funny and a good time; if you disagree it's not because I am trying to troll you.

I've picked up a few things from them but it's hit or miss. I got a pretty good deal from them on the little green Jimny. It may have taken 9 months to get here, but the for the price, $35, the quality is unbelievable... and it's all bluetooth. I also got the Defender 90 from them too. That thing is a hoot. I got the boy another arrma. He has loved the senton 6s, and it has held up amazingly well, but he's never had a new one, so there will be a kraton 6s under tree. He's gonna fuckin flip. And he ought to have a little better chance at keeping up with the mojave.

I looked the udr, great looking, supposedly not as tough as the arrma mojave. My mojave is hybrid between a missile and a tank. It is so fast and blasts through everything and soaks up high speed rough stuff better than any rc I've ever had. I've decided I really like the bigger 1/8+ stuff. The primary reason is that the bigger tires and suspension open up so much terrain to being fun to drive on. A 1/10 truck is significantly slower and more fragile, and limited in where it can go at a decent clip compared to the big ones.
They are sort of the opposite side of the coin compared to a crawler (which I totally see the appeal of). We have a kick ass track in the back yard and cars with bigger tires and wheels just do better and are more fun to drive and break less on it.

If you are in salt lake, you are welcome to come have a peek at our track and how the cars go there. We also drive up at I street jumps quite a bit. It's a whole different ball game than it was 30 years ago.
But I'm not really in the crawler game. I do need one though. Just sold a preamp yesterday for a few bills so maybe I should see what west valley hobbies has in that price range.

I also snuck a ESS +1 Dual speaker system in. It replicates engine sounds that work in sync with the actual throttle. It's pretty cool, the boy was shitting himself. I'll probably map my unused channel 3 to the horn, you know, just to piss off the hikers.
