You couldn't be more correct when it is unguided. Silverton guided leaves a lot to be desired for me. Maybe its the freeride mentality in that I want to be "free" to ski where I want. I don't like being told to "stay between my track and that tree".Quote:

I think Telluride, right over the hill provides a much better experience than Silverton guided.
I've had some really fun days going guided there. I never felt restricted really.

Ya'll put on a good one! It was a hell of an event. I wish I had been able to participate during the day but I had to work so I only made it to the afterparty which was a hoot. Too bad the liquor and long work week caught up to me and I bailed at midnight. Next time I'm riding all day!Quote:

Got a decent skiff of snow Monday and it's snowing lightly now with 1-3" predicted for town tonight, so this weekend should be good.
Currently dumping in Silverton.
Last week was a blast, ripping around with the best team in skiing.
Rolling to Taos shortly, back to Silverton Wednesday night.
Had a great day there on Friday. It wasn’t stupid deep, but we had fresh tracks all day. Eli was our guide and took good care of us. The crowd was very light as well even by Silverton standards
