Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Crunchberries for me. Never eat it for breakfast, but use it as a dessert substitute. If it's in the house I can't help myself, so it's only an occassional thing for me.
Forgot to mention - I've gotten into the habit of putting frozen blueberries in my morning cereal. It makes the milk super icy cold (and turns it a pleasant shade of purple), as well as imparting a bit of fruit. Can't do cereal without it now - milk that's just fridge-cold seems lukewarm and nasty.
Colon Blow is all-time. There have been some great cereal skits.

I've never noticed that Colon Blow includes a large percentage of wood shavings.
in the day quisp, big plus one. quake sucked ass. Freakies. Boo-berry once in a while.
Today, penut butter captain crunch. I put a serious hurt on a box.
no wonder that America is fat
one of my dad's famous quotes is (he was not much of a cook) "If you're going to eat a bowl of cereal for dinner, make sure you eat two"
I hardly ever eat cereal. Camping, I'll eat oatmeal mixed with granola. If all I have is granola, I'll mix it with orange juice because I pretty much hate milk. Granola makes me fart.
Yeah, ^that was seriously boring, but this whole thread is kind of boring so I felt challenged to put up the most boring post.
Except that it reminded me of Colon Blow - that was cool.
Actualy the Americans i have met tell me that America is way fatter than Canada but america would include Canada cuz we were both sold the idea that fat will make you fat but sugar and carbs are fine which is completely backasswards ... poor dietary choices eh
Count Chocula. The milk at the end is all time.
I ate Raisin Bran for years. Almost forgot about grape nuts. Just do a smoothie now.
Raisin Nut Bran and Life
Can't really eat the same cereal day after day-except maybe Cinnamon Toast Crunch, maybe. Have to switch it up with Golden Graham, Rice Chex, Raisan Bran, and a few others from time to time like Shredded Wheat or even Special K. Younger years it was Frosted Flakes that could have been day after day....
My go-to these days is Almond Honey Bunches of Oats. Guilty pleasure is Reese's Puffs. I'll bet I've eaten cereal for breakfast well over 90% of the days in my life. My favorite when I was a kid was Cocoa Pebbles. I still buy a box maybe once a year for old time's sake.
When I was a kid I would never eat breakfast. Not sure why, I just never wanted it. So I really kind of missed the whole cereal thing. Which has made adulthood an awesome voyage of discovery.
XXX-er prolly already said it (me = skimmed da thread)...
At least 60% of the cereals listed in this thread, if you'd just bought your favorite cookies and some milk, it'd be less expensive and probably less unhealthy.
FWIW I tend to eat only unhealthy crap, but not much cereal LOL.
Chocolate Brownie Lara bar and a glass of fizzy water. I don't like milk.
Or an egg-hash browns-sausage-cheese bake, if my wife has the morning off.
Over the course of my life, I've eaten cereal almost every morning. As a kid I would eat Cream of Wheat. Literally every day until I was about 14. Then I changed to Honey Nut Cheerios until I was 35 or so. I ate Honey Bunches of Oats for 10 years or so. Now I eat the store brand of HBOA which has less sugar.
I at eggs, pancakes, etc about once a month.
I LOVE milk.
Honey nut cheerios are in the rotation, I like them. sweet but not diabetic sweet.
I'm gonna throw a wrench in this whole thing - I don't have a lifetime of cereal-eating invested, so when a friend said just try almond milk with your cereal, it's way better, I did, and it is.
Fuck a bunch of cow juice (except in my daily ice coffee, it doesn't work without milk, almond milk is terrible in it).
1. Honey Nut Cheerios (80% of the time)
2. Raisin Bran Crunch (10%)
3. Raisin Bran (5%)
4. Reese's Peanut Butter Puffs (5%)
No almond milk for me. Moo Juice FTW.
I can put up big days on a fried egg sandwich for breakfast and a landjaeger sandwich for lunch so lotsa protien eh, but if the Yogini wants me to make something less minimalist I make a frittata out of whatever leftovers in the fridge need eating, some whipped eggs, cover with cheese & broil
I was thinking that "they" the dieticians/health pro's are now saying all that shit IS shit and "they" admit they were wrong about carbs being good and eggs being bad, but food companies are still making bank selling this shit "they" certianly got you habituated to eat that stuff cuz lookat y'all ... grown men eating like 8yr olds
I'm thinking pa didn't eat that shit on the farm so wtf is wrong with ya bye?
I'm guessing XXXer has been around a few Newfs over the years. They're good with the "yiss b'y" as a standard reply.
As a kid the favorite cereal was mni-wheats, cinnamon toast, golden grahams, many others. Mixing a few different kinds together was common.
In my 20's and early 30's it was Alpen, weetabix with bananas, brown sugar or honey or both.
Gave up cereal in my 40's... well except the gf still buys honeycombs, froot loops, capn crunch for last night snacks.
Carbs are not a good fuel to start the day to begin with but then lets combine them with dye and sugar into some concoction that kids become addicted to and call it breakfast
The thing about sugar is the less you eat it the less you need it and the more you eat the more you want it so I quit sugar 8yrs ago cold turkey just like when I quit heroin
I'm really just a white kid from Vancover inside but who doesn't write like a newfy after half a bottle of wine eh?
Sure they are. I wouldn't suggest eating almost exclusively carbs, but carbs are a critical source of energy. Carbs are pure energy. The problem is eating lots of carbs and not exercising. I'll agree that's a problem.
